| I too joined as a result of the Latest 5 Posts feature, one of which interested me for the first few times I visited the boards. |

| I edited it into a coherent statement.
I was making the claim that you are a real live piece of CGR history.

| I'm here because of the news on the front page from a few weeks ago saying that the message boards hit one million posts. Figured I'd better stop in and see what all the fuss was about. |

| well, haven't we been busy Goodness, look at how the time has flown. Obviously I took too long in stopping by the site. Over a million posts... I remember when we started the third version of the site and we had that "huge" contest to see who would hit a whopping 100 posts first... and as I recall, I never did claim my CD's, Mickey! Back then, we were all getting freaked out over Amy's lenghty explanations of her taxidermy hobbies and trying to figure out what in the world shyorangefrog was talking about with her cousin.
I was happy to see Phil on here still. You've been here nearly as long as I have, kiddo. Now mickey, I do have one question: I could have sworn there was a version of the site prior to the screen shots you had in this thread, back before the Great Lyric Snatching days by the publishing companies (Breatwood, was it?).
For all you new kids, this whole theology realm on the site wasn't nearly as developed when we started. I remember having a few all nighters right after basic training posting back and forth to some of our first hecklers in the GD type forums. That was back in early 2000. We just hadn't had that happen yet... now it's huge, so rock on.
I'll stop taking up space for now, but if anyone sees Syl or my favorite Camel-Girl, tell them to write...
Laters...

| Why do cool people from the original days have to disappear?
They just don't know the fun and joy they are missing!

| Amen, Luke, and amen. I had just joined the army when I first logged in at CGR, so I was quite busy anyways back then. Now I'm a full time college student leading one band, playing in two others, and recording some of my own songs in my miniscule amounts of spare time. Add in webmaster duties http://www.urge-2-worship.com and writing for the school paper, and that makes one busy boy. Artistic side note... where is the old section where everyone had there recordings up? Could've sworn it would be huge by now.
Hey Luke, side note: Saw that you were with the RUF group at aTm (Hook 'Em). I got to meet all the gang from Indelible Grace at their conference at Belmont, did you get to come? They had Derek and Sandra there with them, rocking it out one night. I think they were planning on doing yearly ones, but I can't remember at the moment. Who's doing research to see who the oldest surviving CGR user is, besides the admin staff?
see ya round...

(I can't say for sure, because I have the stat-keeping turned off right now to help with server load - ironic, huh?) On any given day, the message boards get 1000-1500 new posts. While that's a lot of posts, it's not all that many compared to the number of visitors that we have. Once we're on the new server, and I can start collecting stats again, we'll take a look and see.
Mickey | I tend to see 66 guests browsing the cd reviews, and a dozen folks elsewhere at a time.
