You would be most welcome, young twig. We are (for once!) having some great summer weather at the moment so there is no better time to visit. Sorry for the delay in replying.

So I searched, and this thread asked my question perfectly. So instead of creating a new one, i thought I'd revive this one. I'm hoping that the new guys will answer, as well as those who have already posted to update us.

Also, I'd love to hear some sound clips of CGR bassists playing bass in a band situation. I'm very interested to hear what style you guys play.

hooray for another opportunity to shamelessly self-promote
www.myspace.com/yourfavoriteband
or
www.purevolume.com/yourfavoriteband

the latter has one more song than the former.

I played in a cover band in the eighties. Yes, I had funny clothes, narrow ties, the whole bad eighties deal. That's when I picked up my Jazz.

I dropped out of music for 20 years - man, was that dumb

But now I'm back, in the praise band at church. And the experience playing in the 80's has served me well. Amazing how the Lord can prepare us for things 20 years down the road And, even though we do a lot of rockin' tunes, we of course do a number of more meditative tunes, so I got a fretless to go with that.
