  | Basketball-heads, I know this is old news, but ... What do yall think about Lebron James' 90 mil contract with nike and reeboks $x mil contract with some 2 year old being that they couldnt get LJ.. I personally think it's all very ridiculous and a waste of money. I still dont understand why Nike is giving all of this money to this kid who hasn't done ANYTHING yet not one lick of pro basketball and theyre paying him like hes freakin MJ or somethin. It'll be interesting to see what happens if he falls on his face against the big guys.

| Business wise, Lebron is going to be the most watched player for the next 3-5 years. Everyone is going to watch and see if the hype is true. Thats why Nike wants their logo on him. Kinda like Annika at the colonial. her picture was everywhere, and with all those pictures means more exposure for her business partners. It's a ton of money to hand to him, but business wise, if he does become a Kobe, Tmac, or even Jordan like sports figure they will have made a great investment.

| well, yeah, but they still give him a large supply of Nike clothes and products and he wears them. Hey, for 90 mil, i'd wear all Nike....haha

| man im like a really good bass player in high schoo, i won all my high school band division championships!l. i could wear nikes as i strut across the stage and jump up and down and stuff even before i become really big and go up against all the other more professional bass players who have been playing longer thean me. But thats ok, Nike could play ME 90 mil anyway and so could Ibanez just because I did so good in high school! Even though I was really nothing more than a flashy slapper and made a few good riffs here and there, other than that I was pretty average
