And this has nothing to do with Republican/Democrat. Well...less than most would think.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. The beliefs of the two mainstream US political parties are becoming increasingly difficult to tell apart these days.

Its easy to tell them apart. When they are on the news, the Republicans have an "R" near their name and the Democrats have a "D"

Oh yeah, and the democrats have no presidential candidates, which reminds me of a SNL skit I saw weeks ago. Al Sharpton says he is running for president. He is confused when he hears Bush is running and decides not to run after hearing it.

I came out libertarian. The thing is you have to look at the situation. Only a Godly people can be self-governing. It won't do any good to give a people all the freedom in the world if they will use it for sin. The result of that is chaos(french revolution). The authoritarian government that we have today is so contradictery to what our founding fathers created that it is sick(personal opinion). But it is the result of three things. First, the people became lax in their passion for liberty. It was said by a British statesman that "the colonies are full of lawyers"(or something like that). Everyone had felt it was their duty to know the law. This is what brought about the revolution which resulted in the most free and Godly nation practically in the history of mankind. Second, certain people made a concerted effort to bring under control this country. Why? America was so prosperous that they wanted to capture and use that prosperity for their own gain.(If you can read "Billions for the bankers, Debts for the people" by Pastor Sheldon Emery. You can read the entire text here, http://www.deepinfo.com/email/Billio...kers.htmLastly, where sin abounds so must the laws to contain the comission thereof.

Got to run.
In Him,
Stephen

I think that's about right. Government should be lead by common sense, sturdy logic and irrefutable socially beneficial actions, notwithstanding of politically personal agendas.

Hardly surprising given my self-identified policital affiliation, but I am, ladies and gentlemen, a proud Libertarian. Some might call me an Oklahoma Democrat. I'm fine with either.

Your Personal Self-Government Score is 90%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 70%.
