| Scripture in secular songs Can anyone think of places where secular bands have (either intentionally or unintentionally) put Scripture in their songs. The first one that comes to my mind is Metallica's Holier Than Thou--"Judge not lest ye be judged yourself"

| U2's 40 comes to mind - which is straight out of Psalm 40.

| Here's a crazy one:
"Chop Suey!" by System of a Down
...Father into your hands, I commend my spirit...
...Why have you forsaken me...
Many have called it a mockery of Christ, saying that the song calls His death self-righteous, but thats not what the song is about.
It's about a girl who has a bad time with her Dad, and commits suicide. They could be quoting Jesus either for emphasis, just to try and be contraversial, or possibly to try and create some kind of metaphor.
EDIT*
I just noticed that this is the 666th post in this forum. I'm scared.

| Avenged Sevenfold - The Beast And The Harlot
Most of the song contains themes from Revelation
"She's a dwelling place for demons
She's a cage for every unclean spirit
Every filthy bird and makes us drink the poisoned wine to fornicating with our kings
Fallen now is Babylon the Great"

| Arch Enemy's song "The Dead Bury Their Dead" was taken from when Jesus said, "Let the dead bury their dead, as for you, go and preach the gosple."
There are many many others I just can't think of them now.
