This is a rap song with harmony very similar to Supertones' songs. My mom wrote the lyrics one day after we finished Bible class (homeschool)....she started "rapping" them out to me, and I thought of a melody/harmony. Too bad there's no sound file yet

Lord, Turn Your Eyes Away Lyrics by Debbie Morgan, Music by Rick Morgan Verse 1:
Isaiah saw the Lord--He was high and lifted up.
He was seated on a throne, and if that was not enough,
His train filled the temple and His eyes were flames of fire
Isaiah fell down on his face and cried
Chorus:
"Lord, turn Your eyes away, for I am but mortal man.
You were never meant to look upon these lips of sin.
You are holy, You are pure. Woe is me--I am undone.
I have seen the Ancient Holy One."
Verse 2:
What is God supposed to do when a job needs to be done,
And He needs a mortal man, where’s He s’posed to find one
Who’s not disqualified by sin, not rendered useless by his wrongs,
Not polluted by his tongue?
Verse 3:
God is rich in tenderness, and He understands our frame.
He is longing to forgive, He is anxious to reclaim.
He can use a broken man who is acknowledges his shame
To proclaim His holy, matchless name.
Verse 4:
So God sends His angel down to obtain a burning coal
To transform Isaiah’s lips from stubble into gold
God can make a mighty vessel out of someone men despise
When he sees himself through holy eyes. (and cries
Bridge:
God don’t want no imitation or no mad infatuation.
He don’t need vain repetitions or no wild pagan libation,
For He reigns in awesome majesty over the whole creation
He is worthy of unending praise & worship by all nations.
