the real life stories of Playn4God!!

hey ya'll? how are ya'll doing? I thought it would be fun to start one of these blogs, but just to warn ya'll, I might not post in it that much since I have a really busy summer (going down to my beach house at Dauphin Island, mission trip/summer camp with my church, going to JH Ranch in California for 2 weeks with several of my friends, touring colleges, just to name a few things . Anyway, here goes nothing .

Today was a really crazy day. I woke up really early (10:30 ) to go down to my beach house at Dauphin Island to tow our motorboat back to the shop (the thing that tilts the motor up and down somehow randomly broke as I was driving it last weekend ), and b/c my dad had to take our sailboat to get it fixed since some cables broke on it. Anyway, after putting the motorboat on the trailer, my dad started to go off on the sailboat to take it to the marina where he could fix the cables, and the rudder (the thing that steers the sailboat) randomly broke off!! So he ends up putting the motor in reverse (he couldn't sail it with these cables broken, and we have this little motor attached to the back of it for when you can't sail it), and he was just hoping that the current would somehow steer the boat back to our dock since he certainly could not steer it!! And the cool thing was, the current steered the boat right towards the dock (that was definately God's work there!!). So, my dad was a little steamed b/c he is now going to have to have the boat towed by another boat (probably our motorboat once IT gets fixed, lol) to the marina, and because it is gonna take a nice bit of work and money to fix the rudder . Oh well, it was an interesting experience. Anyway, hopefully I'll have another story to tell ya'll tommorrow .

I have 2 guitars, my first guitar which is a Jasmine by Takamine S35, and a Taylor 310ce. I am taking the Jasmine, there is no way i'd bring the Taylor on a mission trip!! The Jasmine is now pretty much my beater guitar since it has a satin finish (can't get dented), and I payed MUCH less for it than the Taylor. I can just guess what brand guitar you play....

Hey, yes, i do play guitar, and i posted what kinda guitars i have a couple of posts ago . I listen to all kinds of music, everything from country to various types of rock. And as far as favorite band, i guess it depends on what type of music. For example, favorite country artist is definately Garth Brooks, favorite punk band is definately Relient K, favorite classic rock band is probably Led Zeppelin, one of my favorite bands would have to be 3 doors down (not sure what style of rock you would call them, but they are awesome and most of the band currently lives here in Mobile, woohoo!!).

Anyways, here is todays story!! Today was a pretty cool day. I went to church, went out to eat after church, then just chilled at home for most of the afternoon. The highlight of the day was of course going to youth group, and today was summer kickoff day. We had a battle game, and it was awesome. We played a battle game, where we had 4 teams, and the objective was to kill each teams king, and steal their flag. Just about everyone was armed with a sock filled with flour and a shield, but there was an artillery guy who threw water balloons (grenades) at people and a navy guy who circles the battle boundaries and threw grenades at people, and each team had an artillery guy and navy guy. Anways, our team won, woohoo!! Then after that, me and 3 other friends from my youth group went to one of my friend's neighborhood and swam in the neighborhood pool and talked and good stuff like that. It was kinda interesting swimming at like 9-10:00 at night when like everyone else in the neighborhood was sleeping, lol We made a wave pool out of the pool like many water parks have out of the swimming pool, it was a lot of fun, i highly recommend that ya'll try it too!! anyway, I g/g, I have to wake up early (like 8:30, poor sleep deprived me ) to take my sister somewhere and tow our motorboat to the shop, i'll talk to ya'll later!

hey GG!! you are right, the c stands for cutaway and the e stands for electric. I have had the Jasmine for a little over 2 years, and the Taylor for around a year and a half (I decided to go ahead and get a nice guitar that i could keep for a long time once i had enough skills and had been playing long enough that i knew i would stick to guitar). The Jasmine is made of some kind of laminated wood (its a $90 guitar, you shouldn't expect real wood from a $90 guitar ), and the Taylor has a top made of solid sitka spruce, and back and sides made of solid sapele (also commonly referred to as "african mahogany"). anyways, i kinda both taught myself guitar and took lessons (taught myself the basics, and started taking lessons a little while later).

hey ladybug!! i hope ya'll have fun going bowling!! i'm sorry that you had to miss more sleep cuz your friend woke you up, but at least you had a longer day b/c of that!!

well, here is todays story. today was a crazy day. my parents made me wake up early to tow the motorboat out to the shop, but they made my sister go with me since the officers of the sorority she is rushing for (Beta Sigma Chi, which like half of the girls at my school, UMS-Wright, and our rival school, St. Pauls, are member of), called up my mom and told her to get my sis out of the house so they could "decorate" her room, but she wasn't supposed to know about it. So my sis was really happy that she had to wake up early and go with me to tow the boat for no apparent reason. So we tow the boat to the shop, disconnect the trailer from my car, and we went to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. So my mom tells us we still can't go home yet, so we just end up driving all the way to Downtown Mobile (I wanted to see how far they had come with a new skyscraper they are building downtown since we had nothing else to do, lol). So we drove around downtown, and then call up my mom. she tells us that we can't come, so we drove all the way to the airport (at like the exact opposite side of Mobile) since we had nothing else to do. So she finally calls us and tells us that we can come back home after like 3 hours of driving around. So we come home to find my sis's room like covered in glitter, confetti, streamers, stuff written in lipstick on her mirrors, and all kinds of stuff. Makes me glad I never rushed for Delta (the guys in Delta just like to get into trouble anyway , and it wasn't exactly something God wanted me to do, although i'm not saying the same applied to my sis since her friends who are joining Beta don't really get into any trouble).

anyway, that was pretty much the most interesting thing that happened today, i just went to track camp after that and practiced hurdles (our school lost some of our hurdlers, long jumpers, triple jumpers, pole vaulters, etc). I'm just hoping my coach doesn't turn me from strictly a sprinter into mr. do everything next track season
