I've never heard 5 Iron Frenzy, I know that they play ska, but my pastor said that he heard them several times and that they're not really a Christian band, maybe Christian people just in a band, but they don't really promote the name of Jesus Christ through music...I need verification on this.

| ok i know this isn't the purpose of the thread but since u mentioned it, i think u should check 5 iron frenzy out and give them a chance, ur pastor i don't think gave them a fair chance, they're more of a christian band then a lot of people out there that claim to be and they play good solid music with that in mind,
5 iron frenzy wins my best number band immediately followed thereafter by 12 stones, who by the way i'm goin to see with skillet and pillar this saturday

where did your pastor get the idea they didn't promote God? Certainly they don't shove it down people's throtas because that's not what they were about, but they definately weren't just "christians in a band" |

#27 | | Cool enough Administrator | E-Dogg, I seriously have to wonder if your pastor was paying any attention at all. These guys were all about Christ, and they wrote beautiful God-centric songs much of the time. They also had some "silly" songs, which some people did not seem to care for. I guess people just do not realize that not every song has to say "God" in it. |

That's stupid. Really really stupid.

| Did your pastor have a sound argumment backing up his statements? Or is it that "They have a few songs that have nothing to do with Christianity (but they don't disrespect Christianity), so they are therefore bad to listen to" argument?

| And by the way, you're pastor is right about one thing. They are Christians in a band. There is no such thing as a 'Christian band'. A thing cannot be a Christian, only people.
