okay to sing other notes that are in a chord?

somes if i'm playing i end up singing a note thats in the chord (but isnt the chord note)...for example i was playin a G 2Capo and was holding the F note...it sounded fine...but i didnt know if that was me just thinking that.

Sweet. I do that sometimes when I'll play certain chords...then again it takes a lot for me to be ABLE for me to play a chord in the first place but yea I know what you're talking about.

are you playing a G chord with a capo on the 2nd fret??
then thats actually an A chord...
i wouldn't imagine an F could sound good in an A chord, especially if you're talking worship music.
an E definately would sound good in an A chord though.
