SEE SPOT ROCK BLAZES THROUGH FINAL SPRING MARKETS
AS PROMOTERS PRAISE TOUR’S IMPACT
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 12, 2003 – The innovative See Spot Rock Tour recently entered the final string of dates on its successful 40-city run. Featuring an all-star lineup that includes rock favorites OC Supertones, Relient K and Pillar, along with hip-hop head John Reuben and critically-acclaimed newcomers Sanctus Real, the See Spot Rock Tour has connected with thousands of music fans across the country and has concert promoters singing its praises.
“Once in a while a tour comes through New England that hits the nail on the head, and See Spot Rock did just that,” says Dan Russell with SoulFest Concerts. “The smart combination of artists, the creative and accessible management both on and off the road, the realistic pricing of expenses and tickets, and the actual concert itself made most of us (public included) wish we had sponsored more nights. We look forward to serving alongside this tour again soon.”
Bill Darpino of Creation Concerts says, “Our See Spot Rock show in Philadelphia at the Electric Factory rocked! We loved working with all of the bands. This has been one of the best produced and promoted tours in a while. These bands presented some of the hottest music in the Christian music industry to our sold-out audience. From the opening acts, who stated they were there to worship Jesus Christ, to the Supertones, who presented a worship time in the middle of their set, this concert was right on target.”
"The See Spot Rock Tour was a great idea from the start,” Creation Concerts’ Karen Sprengel adds. “It was very well received, proven by the fact that we sold out our first show in two weeks and were able to add a second that sold out before the day of the concert. This was a great tour package with two super headlining bands along with some very popular support acts to round out the show. The audience loved it, and I'm sure would come out to see a similar show in the future."
Pollstar magazine labeled the See Spot Rock Tour “ambitious,” and the Grand Rapids Press called it “a three-hour, five-sided swirl of four-square rock.” The tour has sold out major markets including Detroit, St. Paul, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Richmond, Fresno, Lancaster, Pa. (where a second sold-out show was added), and more. The tour has also seen near-capacity crowds in cities like Grand Rapids and Seattle.
Created and produced by Alabaster Arts, the See Spot Rock Tour brings together five acts that have individually continued to generate huge underground followings and audience loyalty. Together, these bands have managed to deliver one of the most unique and electric tours of the year. Organizers are currently planning a new artist lineup for a second See Spot Rock Tour to hit nationwide next spring.
