Hey Bon
That relationships bill sounds similar to that of the "civil union" bill passed in NZ not so long ago, we're still trying to get a referendum (?sp) on that, but could take a while

I heard that the bill has gone up to the next level cos the lower level doesn't have the authority to write it up or something. Looks to be going okay, but you're right, Nards, these things take their sweet time!

The other day I lost my diary! It was so devestating. I'm pretty sure I left it at the ATM on my way home from work. I'm so lost without my diary. I got a few people praying for it to come back to me and today when I got home from work, someone had put it in the mailbox. Praise the Lord!

I'm off to make cake for our final homegroup. Farewell BBQ! I love BBQ season! AND!!!!!!!!! I talked to my mum the other day and, oh, my dream come true. My family is boycotting christmas family gatherings and we're going camping in the middle of no where! I LOVE CAMPING! AT THE BEACH!!!!!!!! IN OUR SWAGS!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds yummy! hey, just want to remind you. Bring your own tissue when you come to the philippines. They don't have it in public CR's (comfort room, that's what we call it here), unless you go to fancy restaurants and places.

Stuth! No dunny paper? I will definitely bring my own! Thanks for telling me!

I didn't end up making a cake yesterday cos I didn't have time. The bbq was good. It's funny how I'm a sad about leaving (naturally) but it doesn't make me want to stay. I was talking with some close friends about a particular guy. I was asked if I would stay if he wanted to persue a relationship. I doubt he will ask me. If he did, I might contemplate returning sooner but I would still go.

It's just time to go and when it's time to go, you just know it. I have to go.

There are lots "on stores". But just don't expect them on all (or most) public/private CR's. Fancy places and rich homes does; however, I'm not sure if its alright to share it here, but culturally, people wash after you know... (with water and with soap).. al the time. Your a missionary so these things are ok to discuss with you.

I'm sorry, i havent been reading much lately. We had a super typhoon, electricity were cut off, and I have to move to my father's place for a while. Why moving? and where?

I read about the typhoon. I also got told we weren't going to the affected areas. Hope things are getting better! I can't imagine...

I'm moving cos it's time. First of all I'm moving home, to be with my family. Then, I'm going to the Philippines and then I'm going to come home to my family again and then I'm moving to New Zealand. Ah, I think I'll post my itinerary thing.

28 days to go....

This time in 4 weeks, I'll be sitting in Melbourne Airport waiting to catch my plane and head to Manila, Philippines. I can't believe there's only 4 weeks to go. I still have money to get in and I have no idea where it's going to come from, but it's gonna have to be God cos there aint no other way.

ITINERARY OF THE NEXT FEW MONTHS OF BON'S LIFE

December 23 ........ Last day at work
December 24 ........ Fly home to my family
December 25-30 ... Camping, christmas and familyness
December 31 ........ Fly from home to Adelaide to Melbourne
January 1 ............. Fly to Manila; Philippines via Singapore
January 1-19 ........ Philippines stuff
January 19-20 ....... Fly to Adelaide; via Singapore
January 21 ........... Third Day, Rookie & Audio Adrenaline Concert-WOOYEAH!
January 22 ........... Luke & Rachel's wedding, my farewell party at the beach
January 23 ........... Church in the morning (my last one till God only knows) and then fly home to my family for a month of camping, sandboarding, farm stuff and familyness

February 24 .......... Leave home, fly to Adelaide, have a pizza and beer farewell party with close friends, convoy to the International Airport and I hop on a plane late at night
February 25 .......... Arrive in Auckland; New Zealand at some obscenely (is that a word? how about hideously, that's better)... at some hideously early hour and try to look like a nice person to strangers who are coming to pick me up.

I'm not even counting January as a month cos it will be over so quickly. So that means, 2 months and I'll be in NZ. Struth. How time flies.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I did nothing but sleep and lounge and pray and read all morning. At 1pm, I went to work. I worked in the Liqour deptarment. I think I work in Liqour most Saturdays. It's good to get a few extra hours for a few extra bucks. I was by myself for the first hour while the manager lady had her lunch break. Man. I'm so liqour dumb it's not funny. I feel really inadequate when I can't answer questions well or I stuff up orders and goodness knows what else.
I guess I was the same when I first started at the checkout. I just dont remember it much. I like working in liqour though and I'm getting way better. I love stacking shelves and the look of the store when it's full. I love the atmosphere and the casual-ness of the customers which you don't really find in a rush-rush-rush, get-me-outta-here-asap supermarket.
I was the boss of the store from 4 till close. I've never closed before in my life; not liqour anyways. It's funny how, now that I've put in my resignation from work, they've decided to train me in management and all! It's like they couldn't see my awesome skills until it was being ripped away from them! I hope I closed the store properly...! Nah, I'm not worried. The doors didn't open when I tried to get back in, so it's all good.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Besides doing my washing (I love doing washing, it's this crazy obsession. I don't overwash, but I do enjoy it), I'm going to go to my housemates church. I've never been there for a service in the morning. I remember one time last year, I was on a team who led a youth service there, but that was different. My church isn't on tomorrow morning, so that's why I have the opportunity to go. Also, through December and January, my church doesn't have night services, which is kinda cool cos that means I can visit my friends' churches before I go, like I said I would, and not be annoyed at missing my own.
The gal who plays the keys most of the time at church has gone to Indo for 2 weeks, so I'm playing in her spot. I'm not as good as her, but hopefully I wont suck too much. So, I'm playing tomorrow night. I've been practicing a lot which is so rare there should be a book about it. Ah, sleepy times.
Can I also ask, for purely selfish reasons, for those who read this blog to post and say, "Hi Bon, I read your blog"? Any other encouraging or abusive comments you want to leave are also appreciated.
"Hi Bon, I read your blog"
Hey, your itinerary looks wicked!
It seems to be that people notice talent and stuff like that more when your about to leave, that's what I've noticed anyway.
I hate how customers are in such a rush, and can be quite rude at checkouts, that's the only thing I dont like about being on the tills at work. Some customers even ask me to hurry up, 'cuase they're in a hurry, it's like hello, I have to put the amounts into the till then pack the clothes, it does take a while to fold the clothes nicely and stuff.
Anyway, have a good one.
I hate Christmas advertising jargon...
"You'll have a ripper christmas at Rowe & Jarman."
"You'll be sleighed by these prices."
"You'll be laughing like Santa all the way blah, blah..."
It's like Spring advertising jargon....
"Spring into Coles this week for these great savings..."
"Spring has sprung at Bunnings..."
ARG! I hate it. So much. So lame.
And, can I also say, that for all the advertising on VB (Victoria Bitter) beer, it doesn't sell much. At least, when I'm working in the liquor store I don't sell much. Coopers beer advertising is way better and I reckon I sell more of that.
Oh and get this! I can't remember which brand it is (I think Hahn), but they have cricket wickets on the bottom of their 30pks! How great an idea is that?! That means, you can buy a carton, go to the beach, drink beer and play cricket and use the box as the wickets. Oh, it's so amazing. Not only do you not have to walk all the way back to your junk to get a beer, cos it's right there, you don't have to keep setting up crappy wickets cos the box stands up by itself! Oh, so amazing. I wish I drank beer.
