| It's coming........! The Australian summer is almost here. You can feel it. The prelude to summer and the... endlude (I forget the proper word!!!!) of it... they're my favourite bits. Like, today for example.
It got up to about 30 degrees; nice and toasty. Later in the afternoon, in come the cirrus clouds. It starts getting muggy. It's gross. Slowly, the sea breeze comes though. Sometimes, it's just plain kinda rain. Othertimes, it's a massive electrical storm. They're my favourite ones. (Except when the lighening hits houses, people, anmials and/or sets your almost-ready-for-harvest-crop on fire.) Camping on the beach in an electrical storm has to be the greatest experience ever.
I just love a week of hotness knowing that the storm and refeshing rains are going to come! None of this monsoonal stuff, 6 months rain, 6 months heat. Try 6 days heat, 3 days rain. Ahh! Lovely.
I found out last week that one of my friends really hates fluro lights. I think it's funny how you can know people for ages, then some strange circumstance comes up and they say or do something completely random, but fully serious. This friend found out last week that I really hate hair. It's just these fobias/freakouts that rarely come up.
Speaking of hair, here is the plan for mine: When I come back from the Philippines, I wont have a job, so I'm free to do whatever I like with it. I'm gonna get dreads. Then, when I've gone to where ever I'm going in late February, when I start looking for a new job, I'll cut em off. I'll only have them for a few months, but I've always wanted to have them and never before has the opportunity presented itself so boldly. I'm pretty excited about it. I told my supervisor today. Should have seen her face. Priceless.
Speaking of supervisor, Brenda is such a great supervisor and we have some good times together. I'm working next week at 7am every day. It's soooooo good cos the first couple of hours in the store are just me and her.
Speaking of me, I better scoot. I'm going to the movies with my housemate and a few of her friends. I prolly shouldn't .. but I'm gonna anyways. I'm in the mood for a crappy teen movie and a few laughs and a whole bunch of junk food.
Peace out!

| Hey Bon,
Yeah summer is on its way down under hey. Do you have days when it seems like winter is coming back (raining, cold etc) then the next day is a really good summerish day again?
Anyway, have a good one

Yes! It's sooooo good! I love it.
A guy named Louis came through my checkout today. I met him aaaaaaaages ago (April 2001) when I went to his 18th birthday party. I didn't know him, or the other guy who's birthday it was, but I went with a friend who did know them, so it was okay. I hadn't seen him since... oh, like, March last year and that was only at a 24 hour camp. He doesn't even live my side of the city. So, I asked him what he was doing in my store (punk) and he tells me he's staying at his fiance's house. He has a fiance?! Super cool. I didn't even know he was going out with anyone. The wedding is 3 weeks away. So excited! More weddings to add to my list of ... weddings. I'm going to one this saturday, of some heaps good family friends. Ahh! I love weddings.

| Hey. Cool.
I haven't been to many weddings, but it really surprizes me when friends from college (high school) get in contact and mention they have a couple of children, kinda weird.

| Well, I went to the wedding on Saturday and it was packed full of Third Day songs! Overboard... ! It was heaps, heaps nice though. I love going to weddings. Every time I go, I find out about stuff I'd like to have in mine or not... Like that stupid clinking of glasses that they do. For example, if poeple start clinking their champagne glasses, the whole room catches on and sure enough, the bride and groom have to kiss to make them shut up. No glasses at my wedding. In fact, no drinks. It'll be a quick one and when they're thirsty, they can just leave. Ok.
My manager is about a dumb as a wet noodle! He's been manager at my work for like, nearly 3 years. Last week, he tells us that we couldn't cut the pricing specials (to make sure the tickets with the product match up to what is advertised) out of the newspaper we deliver to his desk each morning, cos he likes his paper in tact. Dude! We've been cutting up his freaking paper for 3 years and all of a sudden he doesn't like it! Then, today, he tells my supervisor that the front end (checkouts etc) are really crappy and gives her a list of all the stuff that needs to be done. There aren't enough employees to do everything, but he's reluctant to let her hire more cos of the budget (which is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY stingy!... as if Woolworths isn't the biggest supermarket chain in the Southern Hemisphere or something!) That means, I'm starting full time at 6:30 instead of 7, so that everything can be done in time. I don't mind starting early, but I really struggle with him.
82 days till I go to the Philippines... Which reminds me, my next payment is due. I better crack open my money tins and see how much is in there!

| Speaking of weddings...
Yesterday, my housemate got a wedding invitation... on a mini-disc! How incredible is that! It was set up like a web-page thing, with the official invite, then a link to maps to get to the ceremony and reception, photos, stories etc. It was insane!
I'm invited to THREE weddings on December 11. One is in El Salvador, so I'm gonna miss that one.

| sheesh. Everyone always forgets to invite me (in other words, they tell me they want me to come, and then I never get an invitation). Once I showed up anyway, and the bride was quite happy that I did. The other times, well, I didn't know where they were, so I missed them. |

| WOOOOOOOOOO!!! So, yesterday after work, I went into the stinky city and ran around getting quotes for flights from all these different travel centres. When I met a real nice gal in a real nice centre, I booked a real nice ticket for a real nice price. One way. (Jesus.) Adelaide - Auckland. 24 February 2005. I'm a on a high and I've gotta go back to work. Real nice. Peace out hippies.

| Zero Tolerance Zone There are a few things in this world that really make me cringe:
Stinky feet.
People who come through the 8-items or less checkouts with trolleys full of stuff.
Girls who don't understand the change of seasons and wear mini-skirts all year round.
Ugg boots with mini skirts. (Like, if you're cold, you put on heaps of clothes okay.)
Reuseable bags are NOT bubushka dolls!
There are a few things in this world that really make me wonder:
Why did my neighbour have the sudden urge to use a chainsaw to cut down trees at almost 11 last night?
Why did the wife send her husband into the store to exchange a pair of "nearly black" stockings for "black" stockings? (Is not life too short to bother!)
There are a few things in this world that are unshakable truths:
Death is dead.
Truth is not a lie.
Mini skirts suck.
The word brings life.

What's the point in wearing anything if all they're wearing is a mini skirt and small tee. I hate it when girls complain they're cold and they're wearing a mini-skirt and small tee late at night in the middle of winter. I mean, come on, grow some brains! Quote:

| I love songs that relate.... Hey Nards! Woolies is pretty nice. I like work. Really! Today, I found a secret hall which led upstairs and into the back of the girls dunnies, but you can't go through that door cos it's for when there's a fire. But this secret hall goes around the back and there's a back door to the fridge! I couldn't believe it! I thought I knew the whole store back to front, but I didn't! It was amazing! I just want to go down there all the time! There hasn't been many customers lately, but it makes for fun times with work mates.
The other day, Margo (the mum of the house I live in) asked me to move out before I go to the Philippines (31 December). I wasn't expecting that. My plan was to move back to the farm in between January 21-February 24. Sometimes things change.
I rang my mum last night and told her that I'd booked my ticket. She was a bit let down cos we hadn't gotten the chance to discuss it beforehand. As it was, she was going to suggest that I stay home for Tania's wedding in March, Renee's baby in April and Edwin's army graduation march in July... and go to NZ in July after that.
If I said yes to staying for the wedding, then I'd have to say yes to staying for the arrival of a little niece or nephew. If I stayed for that, oh, just another 2 months till Ed's big day. Then something else would come up, some other wedding or big event that I just wouldn't be able to miss. I would never leave. It's better that I just go and miss out on all of it. That way no one can be upset cos I stayed for such a thing but left before their thing. Keep the peace and just leave!
The enormity of what I'm doing really hit me last night. I'm not so much scared as excited about the adventure, but last night there was a lot of fear there. First of all with mum being a bit disappointed, but she did tell me not to worry! Next, when me and mum were talking about moving and how I have to move back home ages before I thought I would have to. Today after work, I brought home a bunch of cardboard boxes that the fruit and veg boys were saving for me. I have to pack up most of my room so that when Dad comes over sometime in the next month, he'll be able to start moving a bulk of my stuff back and put into storage.
I have to write a letter of resignation to my boss. I've fobbed some of my stuff off to my friends to look after... my stereo and my nice cd stackers. Last night I was about to cry (but I was too busy concerntrating on not chucking up cos I'd gone out for tea with my small group from church and eaten SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much. Over eaten actually. I was seriously feeling yuk and even though the food was prolly the best I've ever ever eaten ever, over eating really just ruined it all for me). [Then, this morning I woke up ... not 9 hours after this massive meal and I was starving! It was nuts!
Some songs that really relate to me at the moment:
Hanging by a moment - Lifehouse. Letting go of all I've held on too...
Mistake of My Life - Caedmon's Call. ... Maybe I'm gonna make the mistake of my life.
This is Your Life - Switchfoot. Are you who you wanna be?
Walk by Faith - Jeremy Camp. I will walk my faith, even when I cannot see... this road prepares your will for me.
My Heart - Third Day. My heart makes me wonder how much longer till you're coming back to take me away. My heart longs for you to fly right through the sky and take me to the place where I will never feel my heart break down again.
Heaven - Delirious. Heaven is my home...
Anyways....
Today in my lunch break, I spent some time on my knees. Refocussed myself on what needs to be focussed on. God. His word. Work. D2. Youth. Church. Friends. Each day as it comes. It shouldn't, but it always amazes me what some time with God does to your day. Always amazes me.

| Hey Bon
Well, stuff might be a surprize/ change of plan for you, but remember it's always Gods' plan that prevails.
Hope everything goes well.

I've said to my friend Kez a lot of late... "It's gonna be good, but it sucks." It will be good, but that doesn't mean that there's so heartache, struggle, pain, digging, uncomfortableness before it gets good. I'll be your hands. I'll be your feet. I'll go where you send me.
