Just some random thoughts... cos most of today I was off with the fairies and this is what I thought of...

- If sarcasm is the lowest form of wit and I use sarcasm a lot and a lot of people laugh at (or maybe with) me... what does it say about the people?

- My advice to you is to marry well. If you marry well, you'll be happy. If you don't, you'll become a philosopher. (The Greek philosopher, Socrates wrote that!)

- I wonder how I will ever be able to clean my room and not be able to get it messy ever again. My conclusion is to never be in it...

La la la.

Okay, you know Jonah too? They changed to Rhinosaur about a month ago. Who do you know from Rhinosaur? I know Paul.

Sending you a PM, snowboarderTim.

Well, I've never met any of the guys personally. The weirdest thing about it is that I wrote a story and in it was a band named Jonah. I thought I was so inventive cos I'd never heard of a band called Jonah and Jonah is a cool name. Then, about a month after I wrote the story, I somehow stumbled across their website. For a while there, I was talking with them about coming to play in Adelaide, and now that I remember it, I might get onto them again and perhaps they can come over for Freedom Party. Hmm...

Exclamation super-doperly weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Thanks Sanzi for dropping in. It’s rad to get visitors. Hope you enjoy your stay.
2. Kez – I’m sorry I didn’t say goodbye or give you a hug tonight! I can’t believe it! I was driving away and I was like… “uh-oh”. Please forgive me!
3. I cleaned my room (apart from my desk and bench), but it still looks great!
4. This is a super doper-ly long entry!
5. Today I got a big parcel from Kiah and it was a huge frame with all these crazy pictures we took whilst in one of those "get as many people in a photo booth as you can" booths. It's insane... Ah, the memories! So very funny...
6. Today, some weird stuff happened.

Weird #1.
Well, I finished my assignment yesterday and it wasn’t hard or anything. It just sucks loosing stuff into the great abyss of … nothing. So, I’m alright. Then, tonight, I turn on the computer, go into word and there is the assignment… recovered. I just laughed…

Today, was a massive day at college. I got there at 9:45am and left at 9:35pm! I had a lecture in the morning which was quite fun… it’s all debating and public speaking. We get a chance to “public speak” in a couple of weeks on practically anything we like. I’m looking forward to practicing my live preaching.

Then, from 12:15-4:00 we had hours to kill. We played hacky for a while. Weird #2 For so so long, I have been declining the offer to play hacky because mainly they play killer hacky and it looks painful, okay. But other than that, it just didn’t look interesting. I just happened to stand in the killer hacky circle today and start to play. Now, I had so much fun (and moments of dorkyness), I don’t know why I didn’t start playing it before! I love it to bits! However, the hacky was pelted at me several times… one time when I wasn’t even playing, which was weird (still part of number 2). I think they had it in for me…Mate, it hurt so much!

Weird #3There’s this guy and I just remember him cos he has this rad scar on his face and just his general appearance makes it hard to know if he’s middle aged or quite young (no offence to him of course!). Last semester he was on the same bus as me once and several times we were in the same carriage of the train! So, I was seeing him quite often, but I’d never meet meet him. I didn’t really have plans or dreams to meet him, he was just the guy on the train with the scar, you know?

Today, I was in Centrelink (oh the joys of life) with Kate and Jordy. Kate and I were checking up on our youth allowances and Jordy was job hunting. (Setting the scene…) I finished with my checking and went to the chairs to wait for Kate and there he was!

Not really thinking (like, that he could have been some psycho or something), I just said, “Hi. You go on my train sometimes.” (Pick up line of the week. Write it down. ) And he was like… well, I don’t exactly remember what he said, but he didn’t seem too alarmed.

He extended his hand and says, “I’m Dave.” And I shook it and said, “I’m Bonnie.” We established that we must live in the same kinda area cos we take the same train and bus route. We talked about what we studied and where and why we were visiting Centrelink on this rainy day.

(This is the not so great bit.) He asked if I go to church in my area and I told him where. He asked what denomination it was (cos it’s just got a general name) and I said it was interdenominational. He asked if it was kinda AOG-y… and I said, (dun-dun) “Yes, but we’re not related to them, so that’s good.” (That was a pay-out, sarcastically, to the AOG’s incase you didn’t get it.)

Then I asked if he went to church… And he goes, “Yeah, I go to Southside.” (A pretty big AOG-ish church, which I happen to love!)

Okay… this may not sound bad to anyone else, but, even if you don’t care, I’m going to tell you why I felt so bad.

Earlier this morning, in a lecture, I learned “ugly” sides of public speaking (‘ugly’ being stuff that’s manipulative, one sided or offensive). Phil, my lecturer goes, “Just so you know you aren’t gonna offend someone in your speech… think of a person in the crowd who would be most vulnerable to what you are going to say. Is it going to be an edifying message of hope, or is it gonna be the hammer of judgement?”

We were saying also that sometimes the sarcastic jokes about different denominations and their stereotypes are really quite offensive.

In one sentence, I said a could-be-taken-offensively pun about the AOG’s… and, who knows, Dave might’ve just started going to that church and been really enjoying their style… but beyond that, he doesn’t know my sense of humour (or perhaps lack of now!) and could … do stuff with that. I dunno… perhaps judge me, or not want to talk, or at least not bring up church in my presence!

I think he was okay with it, but I just realised how potentially dangerous “ugly” stuff like that can be. It’s also incredibly funny it is how God sometimes reinforces something you’ve learned so soon after you’ve learned it.

I think we ended on an okay note. He met Kate and then we were on our way again. He said he hopes to see me round and I laughed and said, perhaps on the train and he laughed too and said “watch out”. Eep. Perhaps he is a psycho.

Stuff that’s coming up… that I’m excited about
I still really want a job, but so much good stuff has come up… I dunno where I’ll fit one in!

Next Friday day I’m going to Tabor (yes, on my day off) to be in a photo shoot for the new Tabor advertising and stuff that’ll be coming out.

Next Friday night and Saturday, all day, I’m gonna be going to a Perichoresis Conference! (It’s all about the Trinity and humanity and stuff.)

Sometime, in August, I’m travelling with a schools ministry band, Sacred Stone, to the upper West Coast (of South Australia) to minister in schools there!

Sometime, in September, Kez and I (and a couple of other guys from Tabor) are going to a church camp to look after kids while parents are in at meetings. They pay our fees and give us a small donation too, which is sweet as!

Sometime, in December, I’ll be going with Sacred Stone to the lower West Coast (of SA) to minister at my old school and some other schools in the area. I’ll also (God-willing) have the time to speak in some RE classes at my school!

December 6 (I think) is Freedom Party Number 3 and I’m super doper excited about that!

And right now I’m super doper excited about going to bed cos it’s almost 12am!

This is super doper long so I’m not surprised if you didn’t read it all. I just write in here for fun really. It’s good fun. I wanna come back in 20 years and laugh my head off!

Toodlepipski!

I read it that's crazy!!! You're going to the west coast... to cali? j/k About the AOG, at least you didn't sit and make track meet jokes for ten minutes before he told you where he went. lol! If I did that, I think I would just want to disapear!!! I have a question concerning the phrase "which is sweet as!" What are you saying? If someone in america said that, it would sound bad. However, I doubt that that's what you meant for it to sound like! So... Sweet as heck, but shortened maybe? Let me know, cause I'm confused

Bon - don't worry - i think i left before you did anyway, so it's most likely me that didn't say goodbye to you... sorry about that... I'm sorry... really... I am...! I was really tired... And my throat hurted... and.... ya know... so please forgive me...? I forgive you...
About hacky, I was hit in the face 3 times when we were playing killer yesterday, and I think they were all by BenS!!! Oh my, that game is fun. I think I discovered the true funness of it when someone brought one to church, and we were playing it before the service, and someone kicked it onto the roof, and Luke went up to get it, and nearly severed his hand when he came down, coz he held onto the gutter... Then my minister's wife mistakenly put deep heat on it instead of betadine, and he was like, "Is it supposed to sizzle like that?" Needless to say, the deep heat was accordingly washed off... That was such a fun hacky experience, I think I'm now hooked. I may even look into purchasing a hacky sak of my own. That way, I can work on my co-ordination at home (and believe me, it needs work), then I can come back to Tabor, and just stun everyone (namely BenS) when I play as good as any of them, and what's more, grab that hacky and ditch it at them!!!!!!!!!!! Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
Alrighty, I'm gonna go now.

Cali... yeah right. With what money!?

"Which is sweet as" is a positive saying. I'm gonna be getting some money and that's cool. I'm gonna be going to the West Coast and that's cool. It's a good thing!

Kez... Hows your throat today? Better I hope. No offense, but the colour of your writing makes it hard for me to read... perhaps I'm getting old! I think you need to work on your "throwing the hacky at someone" skills! Heehee . I also think Squiddy (BenS) needs to de-passionise himself from the game. He might yet be the death of me!

I'm at work... waiting for my bro to pick me up so's we can go out to lunch and hopefully to the movies! I spent most of my time calling school chaplains and telling them about this mail-out that we've just completed! Farout, it was so much fun. I don't think I'd mind be a receptionist, or a gal who talks on the phone all day! My mobile started ringing when I was talking to someones answering service, so I spoke heaps fast with the tune of "This is the Day" pelting out my phone. Ha, it was funny!

Sorry about my font, bon. my throat is not a whole lot better, ie, it still hurts, but i'm fast running out of medicine, and i don't have a whole lot of cash to get some more - which is a really poor excuse, really, but hey, it's cold out, and i don't really wanna go down to the shops.... so i'm gonna sit here and complain about my throat...!!! it hurts!!! it hurts!!! it hurts!!! it hurts!!!
OK, i'm done.

KEz - You ARE special... (hoho... special )

Ryan - Cheryls got some serious issues. I don't know a whole heap about that kinda stuff so feel free to correct me. I sometimes just get so annoyed of the excuses that come from people dealing with issues. It's just so black and white in my view... Ah, I'm dealing with it.

Serephs Coal were awesome! The other week they did a suprise gig... they backed another band and called themselves the "balaclavas"... and wore balaclavas! I only know Andre, from the band, cos he knows some guy in my church at home and they came over camping once! Adelaide is pumping out some sweet bands... they just never stay together for long!

And I'm doing really good, thanks for asking. I had a massive sleep in this morning for the first time in... months! I also got to light candles in my room last night and have a nice worship time. College is so awesome and I'm just so excited with anticipation of what God's gonna be doing this semester!!!!!!!!

meenaghk - my bro and sister in law have been living in Ballycastle for the past 2 months, but they are leaving on the 31st.
