LeBron goes to Cleveland. If he pans out, at least this will help even out the talent balance between the west and east in the future. Something needs to be done about that.

Wow, everyone knew that Cleveland would probably get the number one pick, and they'll obviously be picking Lebron. They are also trying to trade away Dmiles to get some other player less flashy but more productive.

What a great job by Dumars in Detroit. He's got a playoff team that has gone deep in the playoffs, he's got tons of cap room, and he has Darko or 'Melo to pick....GREAT job...

Okay... if you are Detroit, fresh off getting spanked by New Jersey, who do you pick? Darko, to play along side Big Ben? 'Melo, to bring some explosive offense to a team that could use some fire?

yes, Dumars will really have to ponder it. They will have some money in the offseason to grab a pretty good free agent, so that could shore up a position. I'd personally take Carmelo, because i've seen him play and he contributes in so many ways. He's big, can rebound, and can take over a game, one thing NONE of the other Pistons can do, Rip just ain't big enough.

Although, Darko sounds very appealing. Seven feet of athletic lefty shooting and a good frame make him sound very nice.

i think hes an all around player, kinda the next oscar robertson.
and i think he's the kind of player that can make a big impact on a team without having to be the go to guy. in that sense, i'd compare him to a Michael Finley (fellow wisconsinite )
his style of play matches the NBA well already, too.
I would not take Wade with my firsrt pick because he would have to be a PG (at 6'3" he's no Yao) I would go with Darko Milicic, because he is a beast, can shoot (lefty, mind you), and if he has a good coach - which the cavs don't have - to get him used to the NBA, I think he could only get better.

Darko may be a great player next year, or in the next few years, but Lebron will put butts in seats for the Cavs, as well as produce. He will fill the arena every night, bringing in more revenue for the team. Also, James' jersey will sell like crazy and that will also drive up team revenue. James will be a stud someday too, just depends if he really works hard to develop a jumper to go along with his great athleticism.

Hmm... I think the Kings could get Darko used to the states fairly well... I'm thinking... maybe Detroit will take Jim Jackson, Keon Clark, and a first round pick for their first rounder....

True, but I don't think he knows what he's getting into
