It's Fellowship of the Ring for me

But then I haven't listened to Two Towers as much as fellowship.

I like the Fellowship of the Ring myself. I don't have the CD, but I've watched the movie a couple times on DVD.

I'm sorry.... but I just can't decide!
Orriginally, I would have said Fellowship, but TTT has grown on me. I really like Gollums Song for some reason, and they have some really cool effects! Fellowship of the ring is a more calming one, so I use one or the other depending on how I'm feeling.

I have to say TTT just because it's got that mournful little recurring violin solo that eats at me every time that I hear it.

I don't have the soundtracks for either of them and I've only seen TTT once so I don't know which I like better...

yeah! actually, i dont think they're violins. well, there might be, but there's another stringed instrument in there that was created especially for TTT. it has a name too... i just forget it, lol. but anyway it's gorgeous.

You're correct about them not being violins. Here's what I was able to pick up on the net:
Much to do has been made about Shore's use of the hardinger fiddle (an instrument that sports two layers of strings, that when the top layer is played the second is set into motion as well). The attention and adulation given to Shore’s choice is with good reason, as the hardinger fiddle's distinctive sound helps to further develop the Rohan's Nordic-like culture and rings true to one's ear.
