why exactly isnt dc talk releasing any new stuff?

if u go to the official dc talk website it says they went seperate ways because kevin max had personal problems, does that mean they broke up for good? cuz they were soo awesome i want them to come back, because, no offense, existence(kevin max) is good and all but hes not that great alone, and toby mac and tait are alright but they were better together.......so any ideas what happened to them?

um, no offense but Kevin Max is the best of the three. He and Tait can stand alone, but I was somewhat dissappointed with Toby's album. They aren't broken up, but on hiatus...they have one more album to do under contract and Kevin Max has said he would like to do another album as dc Talk. The new album is looking at a 2005 release date.

Umm....I just went to the dc talk website and found out that dc talk didn't take a break because of KMax's personal matters. If you read the article mentioning Kevin's personal matters at all, you'd noticee that it was talking about a tour that was going to happen in the fall of 2001, but was delayed to early 2002. Kevin needed the break, and they (dc talk) decided to delay the tour to help Kevin.

Anyways, dc talk is taking a break. They're doing solo stuff, nevermind which member of dc talk did better, they're doing solo albums, and the rumors (I don't think it's been confirmed by any members of dc talk) say after their second albums are released, they'll work on an album as a group. It'll probably be 2005 before the album would be released. Of course, that's a rumor, I think.

But, what'll Tait do?
I mean, he's started the Tait band...is he going to leave The Tait Band for DC Talk? ( I hope so, but it seems veird...well..)
Answers please to a desperate DC Talk fan!!
Btw, the single "Let's Roll" Is it on any CD? It's just on a single, right?

Tait? Uh, he's doing his solo thing, with a band.

Let's Roll is on the comp, Let's Roll: unity in something something something, I can't remember the whole title. So downloading the song is illegal kids.

The whole title is Lets Roll: Together In Unity Faith And Hope. It's a good CD.

You can tell they're getting back together. The title of their last album was "Intermission." They'll be back, and hopefully better than ever.

Yeah. If one is very inactive, it's not that hard to do.

If you guys want news and info on dcTalk, you have to go to dctalksolo.com TobyMac said in a recent article in CCM magizine that dcTalk isn't gonna make a new album, until "I'm dying to" So, it might be another year or two at least.

Um, no offense, but K-Max's album was the worst of the three. That's not just my oppinion either, if you look at whose album sold the most, you will see that K-Max and Tait weren't on the charts compared to tobyMac. I have owned all three albums for two years, and tobyMac's is by far the best. As for the 2005 release date, I haven't heard anything to that effect, though that does seem like a reasonable estimate.

Find me one good dcTalk song that wasn't written by toby. He has written all the good stuff for dcTalk, there is no way they could have succeeded with out him.

Grace & Peace

I agree, K max is the worst. All though I'm not a huge fan of any of the solo stuff. They better get back together, and fast.

Um....since when did we judge people on record sales and popularity? And by who wrote the hit songs for dctalk? In that case, how come Mark Heimmerman (sp?) isn't mentioned? Don't give Toby all the glory, because he doesn't deserve ALL the credit for writing some of their hit songs.

KMax's album is....amazing. He has huge vocal talent. Of course, the way he writes his lyrics is so much different from Michael and Toby. That, and his musical influences are unique. He has great tastes, it's just that the general public doesn't.

Hey, with a band, there's no telling who's best. It's hard to pick out individual contributions, because the members influence each other--if it's a good band, anyway. And this one is awesome, IMHO.

Yeah, God's Jedi, the title "Intermission" is hopefully a good sign.

And... I agree with SystemOfAJon about Mark Heimermann, he's listed on just about every song, but he stays out of the limelight. What's up with that guy?
