No, it's a indie Christian label.

Wow, this thread has survived two years. I agree with everyone that like's Kevin's music more than Tait's or Toby's. Personally, I think that Kevin Max is much better as an indie artist than as someone signed to a big record label like Forefront. It also seems like he's a bit too much for the whole world of CCM. CCM doesn't seem to enjoy creative and original music. They like it to all sound the same and don't care if it sucks. The only reason why they get signed and a get a lot of radio play is because they say constantly talk about Jesus in a shallow(from my observations atleast) manner. I have yet to find a CCM artist or band that has actually made me think.

I like Kevin Max's writing, although all I have heard so far is Stereotype Be. He has a distinctive almost middle-eastern feel to his music. Actually, I probably wouldn't like it, but Kevin sings. He has such a good voice, it totally makes up for any lack of writing ability he displays. Micheal Tait has an average black person voice (that sounds racist, but it isn't), but he is an extrordinary writer. In all of his songs I've heard, I really like his hard rock feel. I don't really like Toby Mac's stuff because I'm not into rap, but I still think he has great writing ability. I would like him, but he seems kind of full of himself (he has to say his name in every song ) and I seriously think he strugles with drugs, which may be some of the reasons DC Talk broke up.

Ok, I don't want to offend anyone, and it may not be true, but in his music, it always sounds like he is using drug reference, and constantly looks high.

Maybe it's just the way he sounds, as it doesn't seem likely that he is on drugs.

You may be right, but bear in mind that, just because he's Toby Mac, he is still as vulnerable as you or I to these things.

I know it's a slight possibility. I was just saying that I didn't find it likely.

Aaaah, yes. Do you have any more objective things to say against the poor guy?

Yes, but I don't read about him going around spreading asinine gossip based on ridiculous things about others.
