For serious FIF fans only. Funny, but not a cd you will listen to very often.

I have it. I like it. I wasn't a big FIF fan when I bought it and I'm still not, but I think it's funny, a good investment, and a great CD to listen to when you're in the right mood.

Wow, so much controversy...

I just bought this CD and I am a hardcore FIF fan. I think it's funny. I appreciate the real songs and hearing Reese forget all the words to Fist Full of Sand. Rhubarb Pie is good, Kamikazee is great, and, personally, I really like Marty. I think that song has a good message; there are many people who live the lifestyle of a non-conformist and all they are doing is conforming to a different set of rules.

That said, if you do not find things such as Kitty Doggy and The Rock Opera funny, you should probably go buy The End is Here instead, because that is an amazing disc. I don't think I'm going to vote on Cheeses. I wouldn't know what to give it and since it's mostly just FIF making fun of themselves, it's hard to compare it to anything. It's not up there with their other discs, but I don't think it was meant to be.

Hmmm......waht a CD. I love Kamikaze (the only real song). I wish i did NOT spend $13 on it. It's worth more like $4. The End Is Near is much better.

Awesome album. While I still feel a little cheated that it isn't a "real" album, it's funny for a listen every now and then. Just not something you listen to over and over.

Comedic merit = 9
Album = 6

"Marty" is pretty much my favorite Five Iron song right now.

Cheeses

I don't like all of the short 30sec goofs.
Only the first 11 tracks are really songs.
And I can't believe that FIF would really do a 'song' like Thea and the Singing...
It's not funny.

But!

I tabbed it.

Check out the 'Thea and the Singing Telegram' TAB.

Also, the recording quality is very very poor.

Sorry Five Iron, I am a huge Fan, but not for this CD.

oh dear.. I absolutely LOVE this CD! It's sooo funny!
I think my favourite song is Thea and the Singing Telegram... because when my sister and I get crazy... and there's music.. we can sound very similar to that! haha, oh, it's soo much fun!
I've been listening to it more and more these days, just cause it's so dang funny ^^
kudos!

Tonight I lingered over your name,
the delicate assembly of vowels
a voice inside my head.
You were sleeping when I arrived.
I stood by your bed
and watched the sheets rise gently.
I knew what slant of light
would make you turn over.
It was then I felt
the highways slide out of my hands.
I remembered the old men
in the west side cafe,
dealing dominoes like magical charms.
It was then I knew,
like a woman looking backward,
I could not leave you,
or find anyone I loved more.
