I've attended a few A of G churches before. PRetty good experiences, though I differ wuite a bit theologically. As far as charismatic, arminian, fundamentalist churches go, I like them.

i attended AOG from 1956 (the year i was born) until 1994 ... except for the years in there that i rebelled & did a lot of partying

AOG has changed a lot in the last forty years ... kinda seems odd that all the stuff back in the 60's that was wrong to do, is awright now

i like AOG & have many fond memories of growing up in that church & knew several men that lived the best example of a disciple of Christ that you could ever find

i attended some promise keeper rallys a few years ago & i told the people i went with that i was raised up around several promise keepers but back then we just called'um christians

I have attended a half of an Aseembly of God service. My dad unfortunately got a headache about halfway through it and we had to leave (not due to the service).

Pretty neat. It was my first time going to a more mainstream pentecostal denominational church.

The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was the way they dressed for ministering. Past that, great church, if I wasn't at the lovely church Im at now, I'd probabally be going there.

I've gone to AG for about 6 years now and I truly enjoy it. Very good worship services are usually a standard. The main thing that people get hung up on is the whole speaking in tongues issue.

The first Protestant Church I went to after leaving the Catholic Church was a AoG Church, but they had left AoG and joined NCMI. I don't go to that church anymore, but I am still going to an NCMI church and we have a great relationship with the local AoG Church.

Yeah they're pretty staunch on dress code. At least the one I had went to.

We had an awesome time of worship. Lots of people were getting breakthroughs and softened hearts and then after about an hour of intense worship and peaceful times, one of the pastors got up there and was basically bagging on kids who wore baggy clothes and such.

Seems like too high of a priority for them.

Africa - great to hear your going to study missions, good luck. Brownsville AOG is great. Lindell Cooley (their P&W guy) came to our state campmeeting and did a fantastic job. You'll really enjoy him.

Yeah I've been to Brownsville 4 or 5 times with my youth group. My pastor is on the prayer team there. So we often have guest speakers, and here alot about whats going on over there. I have a few CDs too. Lindell rocks.
