BTW, many of you have been saying that the 300 and 400 series are satin finish, this is partially true, the 300 and 400 series have a gloss top with satin back and sides .
I think the mistake that's being made is attempting to speak for the whole line :kgrin: I have a Taylor 410 that is satin finish all around.

There is nothing wrong with laminate necks. That's a legitimate way of strengthening the neck. Not everyone can afford that perfectly quartered Honduras mahogany neck. Laminate necks also have the advantage of being able to be carved super-thin for those of you who love that super-fast action, but less desirable if you're a vintage lover.

Also laminate bodies are more resistant to feedback by virtue of their decreased resonance abilities.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'd want a all-solid guitar 10 times out of 10 but I'm also saying there are advantages to lamination (such as cost, durability, etc...)
