| vizquel for defense, a-rod for the best complete ss
however, i must point out that jeter is a great hitter, but just decent ont he defensive side. there were several articles about it last year, how his hitting and championship rings overshadow his often subpar feilding. yeah, yeah, he has made a couple flatout stupendous plays, but if you look at his feilding stats, they ain't great
and yes, i think that vizquel and Roberto "Remember the" Alomar definitely made the best double play combo

| Ozzie Smith and Omar Vizquel are right up there for defense. The top two in any case and you can make a very convincing argument about who is best.
Alan Trammel and Lou Whitatker wer e also a very good DP combo.

A-Rod is all-around so much better than any other shortstop in history...except maybe defensively.

but yes, I agree. These two are one of the best combos ever. All the talk in Tiger-town was that Infante and Santiago would be the next Sweet Lou/Tram combo, but that hasn't played out yet.... |

Thats the word on the street, we'll see if it is right or not (i hope it is, I really like both players) |
