| Jason Upton is phenomenal........in the humblest of forms....
I had him here in May 2003..... He is truly led of the Lord, and in touch with the Father....
Check out his website at jasonupton.com
I've been trying to book him again, but he is booked solid through the middle of 2005..... bummer...

| man, when you have a musician in touch with the Father, big things can happen. He reminds me and many others of Keith Green.
This Cd is great! His other ones are more unorthodox, but in a good way.

| Agree'd.....If you ever get a chance to hear him speak, he is so stinkin' smart..... He knows the scriptures front and back.......He speaks in such simple terms, and yet it confounds......
Here is a quote from Him when we had him here at our church last May..
"God was saying to me,
'Jason, will you just be still and know that I am God.?'
'Jason, will you just be still and know...?'
'Jason, will you just be still.?'
'Jason, will you just be...?'
'Will you BE'?....
Because "Be" is the beginning of "Beginnings"
and "BE" is the beginning of "Believing"
and "BE" is the beginning of "Behaving"
and "BE" is the beginning of "Belonging"
and "BE" is the beginning of "Beloved"
And You are my Beloved."
Simple stuff like that blows me away............. and Jason just brings it off the cuff like that.... I have both His speaking parts on CD if any of you would like a copy...... It is copyrighted, though..... for whatever that matters.....I also have his songs recorded and mixed from when he was here, including the new songs like, "Great River Road", "They'll know we are Christians", "Just a Bird", and some more...... I mixed it myself, and it sounds pretty good......

| Yea, I had him here last May (2003) for a two night worship service, and I worked the sound board for the services...so I recorded it and mixed it...
Both nights he got up and preached. The first night was over 70 minutes and the second was 38 minutes, and I have both sermons on CD also......
I got the "remember" CD a while back from William (bass player)...so I ordered a box of 30 of them and started selling them to my youth group.....

| haha, yep. I invited some friends to one of Jason's sessions, and Jason just went off and started preaching (really cool stuff too) but he said things that made people uncomfortable, which he has a knack for doing. anyhow, my friends loved the music, but said he should stick with just the music, and not the preaching. personally, i like both just the same!

Also, what is morning star? And what do mean, "He got a lot of his stuff" from there?...
Just curious....

#11 | | Guest | Jason Upton He is quite an interesting guy, I was out in Kansas City at THE CALL, and he was there, instead of being on stage practicing, i caught him as he was coming out of the prayer room. This isn't some show to him, like most christian artists I have met. But even though he was on his way to the stage, I called out his name, he turned around, and I talked to him, but he didn't try to brush me off like he was busy, he stopped put his arm around my shoulder, like I was his brother. The guy is the most genuine person I have ever met!!! It isn't about a Jason Upton thing, with him it is all about Jesus!! I have been listening to Jason Upton for over 3 yrs now, and his music has had a profound impact on me!!

| i agree with Jeremy I agree, Jason Upton's music has also impacted me incredibly! His sold out, and dedicated heart is more than evident in His music--It does not yeild to the barriers of this world, but proclaims God's heart, and i love it, and it is beautiful!

#13 | | Guest | Powerful! I feel such an anointing everytime I listen to this CD! I am worship leader myself and have been very enspired by Jason Upton's music. I like the way he flows freely in the prophetic while he leads. I think there is a shortage of that in the church these days. I pray God continues to use Jason and the rest of his music team to draw people to intamacy with Jesus. | |
