| Great Stuff This is one of the most honest CD's out there. I think that its mainly a challenge for us as believers to bo honset with ourselves and realize that God knows how dirty we are and we should stop trying to hide it from him and from ourselves we are not a righteous people we are anything but righteous, "I am a whore I do confess" just like The song "wedding dress" says but I am so thankful that the GOd we serve in always ready to welcome us and to clean us. He is amazing!
I have followd Derek throughout his years with Caedmons yeah all ten years and I will continue to listen because he is such an honest writer. If you ever have the oportunity to see him live go it is amazing to see what God is doing through the ministry of this guy! Pick this CD up!

| definitely a favorite of this year so far. The lyrics are honest, challenging and very well written and intelligent. Great surprises like Jars of Clay playing backup and Phil Maidera on lap steel are icing on the cake.

| I was truly blessed to have heard Derek Webb perform in our small New England
town just before the CD released. His wife was to have accompanied him
but was not able to be there. The sound this man put out with merely his
voice and his 12 string guitar was amazing. His preaching and sharing what
God was doing in his walk when he wrote different songs made you look inside yourself and examine your own walk... like Lover, he said he had realized he had been a christian music artist for many years and had never written a song about Jesus....hence "Lover". When you listen to "Lover" you realize how intimately Derek does know Jesus.
He went on to share a story about "Dance" a song on the Caedmon's Call Cd
Long line of Leavers, was about a visit he made to his grandmother in a nursing home. It is a ballad of course but also manages to encourage the listener about
our final destination of Heaven. His lyrics are so complex and thought provoking,
his musical ability sublime and the combination is breath taking.
I do not ever take this cd out of my player

| I love this CD. He says what needs to be said, period. He's always been a good lyricist, but he really hit the nail on the head with this one.
