Sorry dude, just debate for the sake of debate there. Yeah, I think everyone is cool with doing it. I know I'd like to enter, mainly just to see what people want to say about my work/play. So, how we gonna start this?

Yeah, I don't understand how a guitar competition would be any worse than any other competition like ping pong or football or whatever.
Yeah, why do jocks get all the competitions without any questions? Let's do this thing guys!

woah woah hold on here a sec man... we're not agsint the idea, at least i'm not and a lot of other here aren't either. just because you have a few people who don't necessarily agree wiht you 100% doens't mean it's a bad idea. dont worry about it... sometimes someone will play devils advocate just to be on the opposite side of the others...

If that ever happened here the thread would be closed so fast it would make your head spin. I'm all for the idea, as Bluesjunkie said it was tried before, but no one could seem to figure out how to do it. I'd really like to see one actually get going.

Ok, I've recorded some Jazz background tracks, and since I just started jazz soloing at my lesson yesterday, what a better thing to record and practice, eh?

I just need to burn a CD of the tracks real quick... then record over them. Bee Arr Bee.

Ok, here's the solo as I promised. The background is the chord progression from "All the Things You Are".

It was hard to align the timing, but it lines up pretty well after :30. Oh, by the way, my mom came in the room in the middle, not realizing I was recording, lol! That's why you'll hear my sigh, hehe. She was asking if I had cleaned the bathroom yet .

Hey, Bluesjunkie I was just about to lose my thread when I saw yours, but you beat me. Hey, I didn't mean official CGR, I just meant a competition. But since your offering one, mine is useless. And as far as I know mine was posted first

Yeah, you beat me by a couple of minutes. Your thread wasn't there when a started mine, so I didn't see it. Anyway, I closed yours, because since we have super-human thread editing abilities, it will be easier for us mods to host it.

Short enough to not exceed 1035000 bytes.
