| Other Australian Praise and Worship Music Since last July, I've found much more awesome praise and worship music from Australian in addition to Hillsongs. At first, I thought that it was just Hillsongs. After watching the Thursday night clip from the Hillsong Conference, the World Wide Worship night, I heard other music from other Australians for the first time and then began to search for more music from Australia. I hit pay dirt.
Southside Christian Church - Adelaide
Westside Christian Centre - Adelaide
Planet Shakers - Adelaide
Paradise Community Church - Adelaide
Christian City Church Bridgeman Downs - Queensland
Christian City Church Whitehorse - Victoria
Christian City Church Oxford Falls - Sydney
Riverview Church - Perth
Surf City Christian Church - Gold Coast
Citipointe Christian Outreach Centre - Brisbane
Newcastle City Church - Newcastle
Youth Alive NSW - NSW
Michael Dalton (Hawkesbury Christian Centre) - Sydney
Dayspring Christian Fellowship - Sydney
If any of you know any more praise and worship from Australia, let me know. God bless.

| i can't think of any others off the top of my head although there probably is more and i just can't think of them. Planetshakers rocks, all their CD's are worth having, they're youth praise and worship, same with Youth Alive, Youth Alive CD's from any state are good if i come across any that are really cool i'll let you know. are you looking for praise and worship particularly or christian music in general??
peace
Chantelle

| Praise and worship particularly. I have all 4 albums by Planet Shakers. I love them all. My favorite songs are Praise Him, It's All About Jesus, and Send Me.

| The "Open Up The Gates" I have is the studio album. My friend did say that Henry Seeley is working on the live version of "Open Up The Gates" from this year's conference in the studio with all the post production. It should be out in either May or June they said. I had emailed them a few weeks back.

| yeah same, i've heard mixed things though about whether or not they are doing a live recording of planetshakers 2003. it'd be awesome if they did because there is a couple songs that aren't on the cd that we sung. some ppl say they are, some ppl say they aren't. my youth pastor is envolved in the organising of planet shakers in brisbane, i'll ask him when i see him next, he should know.
is hillsong and planetshakers known much where you are from? |

Hello. I know that "Open Up The Gates" was just released a month ago, but I was wondering if a live album from Planet Shakers 2003 would be released to continue the live series following Reflector. God bless.

| Oh dear. That's a tough one. There's so many here in the US it isn't funny. I know some very popular ones are Hillsongs, Hosanna/Integrity, Vineyard, Maranatha, Morning Star, Clint Brown, Sion Alford, Gary Oliver, lots of gospel greats like Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and many many more. Some other ones I can recall off the top of my mind, Passion. In fact, Passion 2003 is going to be in Sherman, Texas, and it's a possibility that I might be going this year, provided that my friends are still going.
You said your church sings its own music as well. Which church do you go to?

| WOW that is a lot! being a humble 'sit in the conregation and sing'(generally very badly) sort of person, and not a muso, i didn't realise there were so many! :> that's really cool though
i go to garden city christian church, they haven't put out many cds other then christmas ones but our youth put out a good one (in my opinion:>) the youth one was called testify i think because it was recorded at our youth conference also called testify. it's got a really got version of 'adore' the parachute band song. shonelle who wrote it goes to my church so they could do it :> and i think most of the other songs on it were written by garden city folk so that was really cool

I also own all 5 Worship Series albums from Simply Worship 1 to Overwhelmed. I own some more albums as well. I have 33 Hillsongs CDs total. And that's just CDs. I haven't even mentiond the VHS videos, DVDs, books, and teachings I have.

| Oh, I know there is much more music out there besides Hillsongs. It's Just that Hillsongs is my favorite music. I live in the US remember. Just about every contemporary style of music developed here. Jazz, Rock, R&B, Gospel, Country, etc. And other than styles, the US is filled with many Christian music artists so I am well aware of other music being out there. Even in the praise and worship scene here, Hillsongs is very popular, but there is so much more to choose from thatn just Hillsongs. And then you have gospel scene here, also a very large field here to choose from. Here in the US we are just about exposed to almost everything. And in our churches here, there is so much great diversity. Some churches may be strictly traditional, some may be strictly contemporary, and some may be blended. I know the church I go to has really been more blended, singing traditional hymns as well as contemporary music. I do know that when I go into full time music ministry, I want so much to blend the music, focusing though primarily on contemporary p&w and afro american gospel. Oh well, don't want to make this post too long. I can get long winded at times.
