I play for church but our school doesn't have a guys team.

It annoys me when guys say that it's a sissy sport...I'd love to see them come up against me when I hit (not bragging)

I played volleyball year-round for 4 years. I just recently stopped because my shoulder injury is preventing me from playing anymore . I definately plan on coaching volleyball in my later years though, and if I get better I would really like to play rec! Volleyball IS the funnest sport ever!!

I LOVE volleyball. I played pretty much every day when I was at Bible College. IT is a really great sport.

I play all the time at church and consider myself to be pretty good, although I'd prolly get killed by someone who plays on a real team. My favorite volleyball memory would have to be last year at camp during the guys volleyball tournament. The guys team from my church sucked. We really did. We had three high school guys (me, another guy who sucked, and my best friend who played with a cast on his arm) and 5 Seventh-Graders. But about 5 minutes before the tournament started, the other high school guy was talking with us and ended up getting saved right there on the side of the court. Needless to say, that got our team pumped up. I mean, we were going crazy. We played *WAY* over our heads and ended placing 3rd out of 16 teams. That was a truly awesome night for us guys.

I played from 6th grade to 8th grade on our junior high teams, and then I was on varsity from 9th-12th grade. I also played on a co-ed team in college, and at summer camp I was the head of the volleyball tournament, and my team won that for 7 years in a row, because I chose the best players for my team the first hour of camp! It was tons of fun!!

yeah baby! i've been waiting for someone to start a volleyball thread up in here. i've been playing at school since eighth grade. this year i was jv captain and got the mvp award. i'm working really hard towards making varsity next year. i'm a middle blocker...anyone else have specialize positions?

i totally agree with you!!! My favourite sports are soccer and volleyball. They're totally so much fun!!
