I'm sure there aren't many soccer fans on this board, but oh well. The Major League Soccer season is upon us and it should be a good one!

I love soccer. The Buirn will whoop up on everybody this year... or at least a few teams. I didn't even realize the season had started.

Ah, I see. Who is playing in the opener?

It is hard to keep up with who plays on what team. I think the Burn still have Jason Kreis, who is a freakin' hoss, but other than that, I don't know. It seems that teams basically trade or lose players every year sort of unpredictably.

The L.A. Galaxy are playing the Columbus Crew on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.

Yes, Kreis is still a part of the Burn. The teams are still similar to last year... a few people retired (Novak from the Fire, etc.)... I believe most of the stars have remained on their respective teams, though...

No kidding... it's good for the USA, though... I think we may actually see the day when the US is considered to be a power in soccer... then, the world will REALLY hate us...

I can't watch soccer unless it is the world cup. It just seems boring if its MLS. But hey, this past summer I stayed up til 2 am watching ESPN...it was awesome!

Yeah, it's hard when you don't really have a team to root for... and, oh yeah, the skill level is just slightly higher during the World Cup.

Yeah, the Crew are good. McBride had a good season with Everton during the off-season for the MLS. I missed the first match, but heard it was exciting.
