First recording with the PodXTL (Ibby Gax70 -> Pod -> Computer). Still a work in progress -- I just haven't had any time to improve or extend it lately.

My first post of my work

MIM Strat -> Pod XTL -> Laptop

the xtl models were based off of a tweed bassman and a Deluxe Reverb (each with various effects). It obviously has some technical mistakes, and a little bit of latency so don't listen if you seek perfection. I'm just proud i finally recorded something that doesn't hurt my ears.

both are my bands.
For The Pen Name I only did the mixing and I made a pretty blind attempt at mastering it in Pro Tools, but I think it came out nicely. The tracking was done at 37 studios. I was only involved with the mixing on the album Teeth Dreams.

The Barrel Roll songs are all works in progress. Any input is very welcome!

Here's one of my new Epi Dot Deluxe. It starts out clean and turns into some nice distortion.

I used the same guitar 5 times in this track. All of it was improv.

The first one is the last riff off of the previous recording. It's my Dot Deluxe.

The last one is the National Anthem played on an Epi LP Special II. (believe it or not) And I only played it with one hand.

Here's how you do it: Crank the amp to where your guitar feedbacks, find a position on one or two strings where you can play the whole melody, and slide to the notes!!!

Strings!!!

I just recorded this with my friend Jim Bob (fiddle player... ) I played most of it, even though this is only the second time I've even got to touch a violin... the really fancy trill stuff at the end... Sorry if some of the stuff may have some mistakes, but it all kind of worked to build in the end.

ENJOY!!!

Here's some noodlin' for ya!

I'm the world's worst at actually writing a song, so these are more or less scratchpad ideas that I never really followed through to completion.
