I have now decided to post in my Blog every day.

Today is national day of prayer. Part of my band, Nameless, played for most of the student body today, and students prayed out loud to everyone several things that the National Day of Prayer website told them to. Um... are you thinking what I'm thinking? Praying what they told them to pray... An atheist friend of mine attended the program, and is now probably even more turned off to Christianity. "Thats the scariest thing I've ever seen; the most brainwashed people stuck in one place before."

In my opinion, prayer is a personal thing; I don't like praying for a group of more than 10. I think that following guidelines for prayer is ok, but I agree with my friend. I had to try and explain to him that some Christians do not think for themselves, and that I work as a Christian to change this (through positive example, NOT through preaching). There's a Project 86 lyric that goes something like this, "Faith is buying me a way to convert the masses into servants" or something like that. People, all saying the same words, thinking the same thoughts, because they are told to. I pray now that these people realize that God wants them to be individuals.

Agree with me or disagree with me if you wish, but please do not argue in my blog. If you do, I will repost my position in another forum and request that your posts be moved.

I'm not against group prayer. I just feel like some people don't think for themselves, and just pray what they're told. People pray differently in groups and when alone. I feel that when you are alone with God, your prayer is more true to the innermost feelings of your heart. Therefore, imo, personal prayer is more important than group prayer (which is also important). I felt like the prayers prayed at our school program were not the best for the audience ( our school has a large minority of anti-war, anti-bush, anti-media, anti-consumerist, postmodern, apathetic, punks. They actually complained to me that the prayers were too opinionated.

But yes, group prayer is a good thing, I was kinda ranting and raving, so, just ignore anything stupid in there.

Entry for today:

Ok today was an average day at school. In first hour my History teacher made fun of my socks (black dress socks with tennis shoes). He said that I would probably fit in with Ultra, the team that successfully decode the Enigma code in WWII. Supposedly, Ultra was a bunch of nerds. O well.

I went to an art show that my sister had something in. It was cool. My friend Lacie had an AMAZING painting that I stood and stared at for about ten minutes. And then I went and ate an omelette, because I'm not going to get to eat breakfast tommorow.

Orientation for LSMSA is tommorrow, and I must wake up at three A.M. (hey thats a Matchbox 20 song!) and travel four hours all the way to Natchitoches from my hometown Slidell. I can't wait 'till next school year. Yeah.

No not really heard of Pine Prarie, but I probably passed the exit for it on I-49 on the way up to Natchitoches today.

Ok, Today was Awesome!
I had Orientation at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches, LA. So many cool people are gonna be there next year. I had to take a placement test for Math and Spanish, and do some preliminary class sceduling. In math, my score allows me to double up, taking trigonometry and precalculus at the same time. I'm taking a really ambitious scedule. Nine classes, if you include P.E. and private euphonium lessons. For P.E. I get to take Karate, is that cool or what. My friends back home would be sooo jealous. I met a bunch of awesome people, I'm really looking forward to having class with them next year. Yeah, I have to sign off now, so I'll post more later.

sweet beans man!!! i want to go to school there...the bast p.e. class we have is team sports, and its really dumb cuz if the class is dominated by the football jocks then all we do is play football

Yeah I HATE p.e. at home, but for next year I got to choose between karate, fitness swimming, team sports, fencing and a whole bunch of other ones. I was going to do fencing, but only the clavers do that. (its a club there where all people do is play RPGs all day) I greatly dislike football jocks, and NHS is full of them, and they think they're better that everyone, even though they suck (they had a good year this year 3-7 record). Yeah.

Good mornin' everybody. I really mean good morning. Its 5:18 right now.
But why am I awake at this time posting on CGR? Because I am grounded from the PC and my parents aren't awake now. Supposedly, I had an attitude yesterday, but thats a load of poop.

Anywho, I had band banquet yesterday and it was cool except for the fact that it sucked. So I made the best of it and screamed my head off at every award. (we have a 200 member band, and everybody got at least one thing). So I can't talk right today. But ya'll can't tell, so its cool.

Also, my friend put up a disturbing web site. Called the Seanist Manifesto, its his proclamation of beliefs. But I can tell that he added to it over time as a way to tell about whatever he feels.
I'm thinking about perhaps writing a rebuttal to all of his arguments (they're pretty weak)
