| hmm..not in anything now...when I was in HS (no..I'm not an old fart) I was in Bye Bye Birdie...not the most fun I ever had...in fact I forgot the name of the character I played...it was that super untalented chick who got stuck in the splits ya know..the slutty lookin one...(I was stuck w/ that part becuase..ALAS! I was the only person who could do the splits..)...then my sr. year I was Babe Williams in "The Pajama Game" I beg to differ on Grease being the worst musical ever...The pajama Game beats it w/ it's hands taped behind it's back, it's eyes taped shut & Grease has a spear! (But, our choreographer was hot!) Anyway..that's all. |

| Woohoo! I was in four (not o____ing the ones I did in grade school) yet have henceforth ceased to act in other due to a lack of drive: All-American Review- our showchoir/concert choir director pulled together a bunch of songs from different decades and we finished it all off with the national anthem. New York City Beat - This one was kinda cool, we did songs from RENT and Cats, sang New York New York, had a Central Park scene where there was random actors, artists, theives and breakdancers. Once again, thrown together by our director and some of the seniors. Orbital Bebop- Here we performed a bunch on songs we 'turned into' space songs that went with the nine planets like Mercury we did 'hothothot' and 'walkin' on sunshine' jupiter we did a Stomp thing and pluto we did a jazz thing. Saturn was the coolest creation though, where we did a dance with hula hoops (saturns rings) and foil ribbons to an Enya song and got really crazy with the lights. Then we finished the whole thing off with the song Orbital Bebop which I'd never even heard of. But it was the coolest so far.
Guys and Dolls- I was Sergeant Sarah Brown and my boyfriend was Sky Masterson. Cute, huh? Though I was I wasn't taped on opening night. I was so nervous as this was my first ever real musical and I had a lead role.
It turned out okay and was a lot of fun.
Our school did Footloose the year after I graduated. But we did the title song in one of our showchoir performances and it was so exciting!
hope you had fun! |

| i pretty much live and breathe musicals. in my cd player at any given time is a broadway soundtrack. i've been in three so far:
~godspell: my school did this when i was in eighth grade. it was really the high school musical, but the middle school drama class got to be in a few parts. i was a dancer in "all for the best" and a demon who tempted Jesus.
~annie and the kings: ok, its not a real musical...it was a thing fabricated by my drama and choir teachers that combined scenes from "annie", "the king and i", "the prince of egypt", and "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat." it pretty much sucked, but it was a lot of fun regardless. i played a siamese wife in "the king and i" and was given the insanely fun role of miss hannigan in "annie". i got to sing the song "little girls" and basically act like a mean hag. woohoo.
~scrooge: the musical version of "a christmas carol," my school did it this december. i was the ghost of christmas present. yes, i know that christmas present is a role filled by a male most of the time, but there was an big issue w/ a bunch of people who were cast in lead roles failing classes and not being allowed to be in the play so i was asked to step in. everyone says i did wonderfully.
my dream is to be on broadway someday, and win a tony award. not likely, as i've never had any formal voice training or anything, but a girls gotta dream.

| I have been in many, many musicals in my life, both in church and at school. I was the Lion in The Wizard of Oz once and I played the lead in Annie Get Your Gun when I was in New Zealand. Those were the only two major roles I've had. Most of the time I'm an extra or a minor character. Of course, there are no small roles, only small actors. |

| I sing all the time, and make up songs, but no one else knows the words, like they always do in musicals, and no one, no one, ever starts dancing. |

| I love "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown!" We just had our opening night for it last night at our high school. It was sooo much fun and I'm so proud of everyone, they did such an awesome job. It's been such a blessing, because four of us cast members are strong Christians. Two more shows to go. We can do this...
