I explored the musical capabilities of my guitar today. i ran it through our sound system and turned up the reverb a little. much nicer sound.
then i broke the G string. again. drat. i need to get the tuning post looked at, and the nut too. cause this is getting expensive.
end log. |

| since jacks is so cool, we should get those peeps that are meeting in texas this summer to play a game or two of jacks, just for us. yeah. i would have a CGR party at my house, but theres not many Wisconsinites on these here boards.
I have a dream, that someday, all men will go on CGR. Little bass players boys will play with little guitar player's girls. and there will be harmony.
yeah so its cool that people are finally posting in my blog. it gets kinda lonely talking to yourself. also, if you ask questions to yourself and respond, people start thinking you're a skitzo.
but then, now with people posting in here, i can't complain that people don't post in here. oh well. sacrifices we make to have friends, right?
why is jacks so cool? i don't know. my grandma used to play that with me too. oooh. Sara, we have something in common. maybe we're soul mates. just maybe...
Hello sara, and to the guy that thinks he's an electronic combination of steak and canine. if he told me his name, i'd call him by it and refrain from making stupid jokes about his screen name.
funny how i switch in and out of conversational and personal conversation in this here bloggy. maybe i am really skitzo.
nope, God made me my own special person, and i'm pretty sure theres only one of me.
haven't realy done anything too useful today. a certain female someone still hasn't called. oh well. i'll just have to go to her church on sunday
not like i'm going to church just to meet girls. no i don't stoop to that at all. i'm just churchless, and why not visit a girl after church, right?
haha. so i'm talking to this girl friend of mine, and theres this guy she likes, and hes coming over to her house. and she wants me to come over so its not awkward. ha ha man. i'm always chaperoning dates. oh well. i'll take it as a sign of trust or something. yeah.
so i was at denny's wednesday night with a youth group. and this kid turns around to the booth behind him and asks a girl(also from the youth group)
him: "do you like cats?"
her: "yes"
him: "wanna share recipes?"
and i laughed. really hard.
i wonder if there is a website at www.thisisnotawebsite.com don't go there maybe, i don't know what it is. haha!!!
its a vbbullitan kinda site, except in french!!! how cool is that? not very, i know.
so i still don't know what it is.
thats all (s)he wrote. |

| hi james.
so i put new strings on my guitar today.
shelled out the extra $5 to get elixers. they are really nice. if they hold up well, i might switch. cause they sound a little better, and play easier.
i also did a little work on Kate (thats my Taylor, for the new readers)
i tightened the tuning pegs up just a tad, to reduce the rattling that i was starting to hear. it wasn't loud at all, nothing the preamp will pick up even, just loud enough for me to hear it and be driven crazy. but problem solved.
i also very very carefully widened the 3rd string slot in the nut. not much at all, just shaved off like a 1/10 millimeter. see if that stops the binding that might have been going on.
so yeah, brand new set of elixers, a little tightening, and shining of the fretboard while and body...its like shes brand new again. happy day.
so i've got this genius plan to call this girl tomorrow and see if she wants to go see a musical with me. she likes musicals, i like musicals, it might just work....
additionally, it is the last weekend of spring break, and i have to do homework tomorrow. no good. but oh well. going back to school means seeing my best friends again, who are off and about over this spring break.
man i miss them. the last couple weeks before spring break i was really getting close to them (after not having any good friends since switching schools) and then spring break came and they went on vacation. they need to come home.
all for now,
David |

| There's actually an animal called a Dogcow out there. They're invisible though so most people don't know about them.
And the commies are capturing them and inserting computer chips into them and plan to take over the world by automated invisible robots! |

| YES, Michigan is da BOMB!... even though I haven't been there in years.. *pouts*...
neato neato neato! :kblush: yeah, I think it looks like a singer. More so than blushing.
Okay, wait.. how'd ya know I was from MI?... ofcourse, it's probably like in my sig or profile or something.. and since I haven't looked at any of that in a long long long time, I wouldn't know.. haha
It's time to update my user text, sig, avvy & profile. Oh boy.

| whoa...good thing i know this now. are they dangerous in the wild? or just when the commies take them over? the girl actually knocked over her shake in her moment of rage. she really likes cats, it turns out. Quote: |

| i think Kate and Tiffany would be good friends if they met. Quote: |

| yeah, except you might want to go with a guys name. you could go either way really. i just find something fundamentally wrong with me holding a man for 2 hours at a time.
girls can hug girls, girls can hug guys.
but guys can only hug girls, and only if they let us.
guys lose again.
so that girl i was talking about called me this morning, and asked me to do what i was trying to get up the guts to call her and ask her to do, go see a musical. i'm so excited now!
yeah so i have to go get ready, cause i have to leave soon. would that be sad if i was late getting to her house cause i was posting on CGR. haha.

| Very dangerous if you get in their way. Luckily, they fly most of the time so it's unlikely you ever will. Quote: |

so my "date" kinda thingy went alright
we talked a bunch and went to the musical. but nothing really. not that i'm disapointed a ton or something, its just i wouldn't have minded if she had asked me to come in after we got back to her house. ah well.
i'll see her at church tomorrow so its all good.
i have a friend coming over tonite to help me with my calculus. oh happy day.
after we're done we're gonna jam it up. he plays electric, i play acoustic. we still get along
he was one of my best buds for a long time, cause we had a bunch of classes together. nice kid. so yeah, i must go and prepare a place for him. right... |
