I budget my money very tighty. sometimes not eating real food, sometimes I eat jelly on bread if I don't have money I'm willing to spend. AND NOT PAYING FOR BASS LESSONS, I think bass lessons should be free, I give free bass lessons.

I dont get money... that's the problem. I'm too young for work (i'm only 13.), my family's NOTrich, so, I'm not getting tons of bucks at Christmas & birthday, so, I saved up for about [hmmm...] maybe 1-2 years and I got about $450 to buy my new bass (which STILL HASN"T COME!!!!!!!!!!) Actually, I'm only gonna need 400 for my bass and case now instead of 500. (Closeout sale)

And the amp... Two 10's in a custom box (which sounds WAY awesome) with a Fender head. It rules... at least for $300 it rules.

I use:
-black 2002 squire p-bass deluxe with p and J pick-ups
-peavey tnt 120 bass amp with a black widow 15 " speaker
-arion stage pedal tuner
-Boss bass limiter pedal
-Boss bass eq
-sovtek big muff pi
-whirlwind a/b switch to:
-jekyll and hyde overdrive/distortion
-sovtek mig 50 head
-fender dt 4-12 cab
-also use 1996 Epiphone Les Paul standard, and mid 70's epiphone coronet through all of this.

-I play guitar on some songs, and bass on some. BUt the guitar has to be really bass-y. boy howdy. Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeah's is my inspiration. listen to "y-control" and you'll get my drift.

Tom- how ya like the cab? I got the same one, and I REALLY like it. Its not the best, but great for the money. BTW, where is Olney? I live in a little town called Morton Illinois (it's near Peoria).

I really like my new amp. we just got a new ampeg half stack for my church and I think my bassman is doing pretty compared to the ampeg, it keeps right up. and Olney is 3 hours south of springfield, I don't know if you know where highway 130 is, but it tuns north and south, that highway takes right to Olney.
