I've obviously been watching way too much Viva La Bam, because I'm starting to really like Billy Idol. Is that bad? Probably. Oh well.

I've felt more like an inmate than a child here this past week. With the gas problems, my dad wouldn't let me leave the house except for work or to go to my grandparents'. I can't complain much, though. I finished season 2 of Smallville yesterday, packing in about 10 episodes between the end of church and when I went to bed. I suppose I'll go through season 3 once more before season 4 DVD comes out next Tuesday. Once that happens, none of you will see me for about a week. w00t.

I was trying to say that I was finally allowed to leave today. Russ and I hung out at the mall and Barnes and Noble. I bought another Batman comic, and it's quite awesome so far. I'm still not sure how this sudden comics obsession started. Is it a sign of some sort of mental illness? Some deep, dark repressed childhood memory? Am I being overly melodramatic? Yes.

In other news, Daniel has a girlfriend. Russ and I have been telling him to go after her for months now, and when he told me yesterday what happened, I was so proud of him. Then...it hit me. Daniel has a girlfriend. And I don't. Obviously, the world is ending. Or the planets have aligned, or France won a war...something is totally out of whack. Sigh.

I need to go to a movie. I'm not exactly sure what I'd see; I just need to go. Red Eye, perhaps. Ooo, Transporter 2 is out. That makes me happy. Any girls who happen to read this and would like to go on a date, just let me know. If for no other reason, do it out of pity because Daniel has a girlfriend and I don't.

Yet another exciting day in the life of teh Jedi.

I'm too far away to fly out for a date. Maybe if I send you a cardboard cutout of me..?

Nah. That'd be awkward.

Hey, it's the thought that counts.

My Amazon shipment came yesterday. w00t. Two Batman graphic novels (including The Dark Knight Returns, what most people consider the best ever), and Death Cab for Cutie's new CD. I'm a very happy boy.

I don't guess many of you listen to Death Cab. You should. The music is not always great (except their last album, Transatlanticism), but Ben Gibbard is probably the best lyricist in music today. Most of their songs are about love, usually a loss of love. So I can relate. I'll give some of the lyrics to the best song on this CD at the end. Cuz I'm nice like that.

Today was fun. Blake and Russ both came to the store, and we went and got lunch. Katy texted me to meet her at B&N at 1:30. I did, and it was wonderful. Russ came eventually, and we stayed until almost 4. I went to Best Buy and bought her birthday present, but since she didn't come to church tonight, I might just keep it for myself. Muwahahaha.

Church was ok. Joey told us about his adventures playing father to 3 squirrels. That was...yeah. Only 2 are still alive. So it goes. We went to Backyard Burger with a lot of crazy people, and now I'm doing my best to just stay awake.

There was something else I wanted to say. Now I don't remember what it was. Hmm. Oh well.

This song isn't really theologically sound, per se, but it's a very lovely sentiment.

Love of mine some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark

No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

You people should feel loved. I bought Smallville yesterday, and my mind is set firmly in Smallville mode, but I'm taking the time to update. So be thankful. And stuff.

I finished all my comics by Saturday, so I bought some more Sunday when Russ and I went to Border's. I also gave Katy her present, the first season of our favorite show, House. She seemed to like it quite a bit, so I was pleased. Blake was asked to lead an 8th grade small group, so he asked me to help. We were supposed to meet our kids Sunday night, but we ended up playing basketball with the two that showed up. Blake and I used to play each other all the time, but it had been ages since either of us had even touched a ball. From way we were playing...we're getting old.

Nathan bought us dinner at Wendy's afterwards, then we met Russ and Daniel and them at BYB. Bryson had his Sith-spawn of a friend there, and he was driving everyone insane. I was only around him for 10 minutes, but I wanted to beat his face beyond recognition. And I mean that in the most christian sense of the word, of course. He left eventually, and it was a lovely time after that.

Russ came by the store yesterday, and we ate at Chick Fil A for lunch. He went with me to Wal Mart to get Smallville, but it was almost $10 more than Best Buy, so I got it over there. I watched 5 episodes, only taking a break to watch the season premiere of House. Huzzah. This really is the only time most of you will hear from me for a while, so I hope you enjoyed it.

As for the song that is now on my Xanga, it's...um...oh, yes. I Want to Save You by Something Corporate. But I think I shall change it. Ooooo, I know. Let's do some Rob Thomas. This one is called Now Comes the Night, one on my top 25 list. Ya know...if I HAD a top 25 list.

Yet another exciting day in the life of teh Jedi.

I enjoyed it.

I miss teh Jedi.

Andrew, I found a Chik-Fil-A in California. One exit down the highway from Rachel's school. YES.

I don't know why, but that struck me as funny.

Art, why do you miss Jedi? Did he leave?
I'm so confused.

I did not know such a thing existed. That's spiffy.

I haven't been on MSN a lot lately, for more reasons than just Smallville. Mainly, my mother is on here every hour that I'm not asleep. Next time I'm on, I promise I'll say hey.

New Xanga song. Just for Katy. Hooray for Van Halen.

I'm odd. Most of you already know that, but still. I got paid Thursday (only $388...stupid Labor Day). I went from work and deposited it at the BankPlus on Pear Orchard. There are no fewer than 4 BankPluses between Habits and that one. And yet, I've done it the last 3 times I've gotten paid. There's this one teller in there who I think I'm in love with. She can't be more than 21, and while she's not what most people would consider "hot", I think she's gorgeous. I walked in there, I saw her, she smiled at me, my heart started racing, my stomach turned into knots. I'm such a dork. Anyway.

I finished Smallville this afternoon. That season finale kicked the crap out of every other season finale of every other show ever. Now I have to wait a whole week and a half for the premiere of season 5. I think I'll be going through withdrawls soon.

I've got so many comics now that it's not even funny, and I have a shipment coming in Monday, plus another one I ordered today. My bank account is unhappy with me.

Russ and Blake and I somehow found a way to go eat Wednesday without dragging anyone else along. I was impressed. We had a great time, between me flirting with the two hot girls at the counter and Blake calling me fat. *sigh*

In all seriousness, I think I've started to like someone else. I'm pretty sure she used to like me, but I don't know if she still does. All I do know is that I really want her to like me. As I said in January about this same girl, I don't know how good a dating relationship we could possibly have. But I'd sure as heck like to try. Hmm.

I've run out of things to say. So...now I guess I go.

Yet another exciting day in the life of teh Jedi.
