Tony Terusa is really cool. Not that his stuff is hard, its just perfectly fit into every song.

Traa Daniels. As if POD werent awesome enough as it is.

SCC's had some good bassists over the years (dont know their names).

TomfromIllinois. Who does he play for. Oh, well. But dont get mad at him just because he's better than you!

Somewhere I heard that Victor Wooten was a Christian. If so, I have to say that he is one of the best that I have heard.

Adam Anders has done a lot of stuff with SCC. I'd have to agree and say either Roy Mitchell or Josh Gonzales. I don't think Roy knows the meaning of the phrase "functional bass line." And Josh lays it down in Ain't it Good from Salvador's debut CD. I'm amazed by both of them.

I haven't heard enough...

If Abraham Laboriel is the guy I'm thinking of, he's good...

I also like Matt Weeks. He's also good.

Tony Terusa was my first bass hero. His stuff might be simple to play, but how he invents them is simply beyond me. And man, when he plays, you just HAVE to get-up and dance.

I think that's the most important qualification for a bassist: he or she has to be able to make you dancee.

Abe Laboriel's playing is nasty...he does some stuff with his bass I can't even imagine

I doubt Victor Wooten is chrisitan... He's always doing those Bass Zen camps and stuff, that involve getting in touch with nature and stuff...

Yeah, his site is all new age, yin and yan zen crap. You justin timberlake (and the rest of 'em) thanks "Jesus" on his album.

[IMO] Those Christian rumors are just to make money off the Christians who fall for it...
