La Gare du Palais. I climbed up on top of the Potasse to get it, and it was a long way to the ground if I fell, but it's a good shot...

| The main battery at La Citadelle du Québec. The big one at the far end was named "Rachel".

| Canada is cool. There's a bit of everything here, from large forests, to near desert, to arctic tundra.

| I might have some pics to add when I go up in August.
Hopefully some of the worlds biggest indoor waterpark...if there aren't some already. |

Big. | Awesome picture, Kyle. I just got back from Quebec City, and I loved it. So much history. Though, they never tell you that most of Old Quebec (and lots of the sights) is really uphill from the Gare du Palais. I nearly died making it to Rue St-Louis with my luggage. |

Pretty much everything is uphill from the Gare du Palais. I do the trek from the Lower City up to the Upper City, and up the hill to the Citadelle every week. See, because I have a vehicle clearance sticker for the base on my car, I can park at the Citadelle for free. Last summer was utter hell, though. Driving up La Grande Allée in a car with a standard transmission is bad enough, but last summer, they were building that stupid fountain across from the Assembly, so traffic was reduced to one lane with a light that indicated which direction could go.
This year, most of the time, I just park at the Public Library, though. It's $4 to park all day, and fighting traffic up the hill isn't worth the effort, because I burn nearly that much in gas just sitting in traffic. No thanks, I'll pay the four bucks and walk up the staircase.
What did you see while you were here?

| I saw pretty much everything that was free in Old Quebec; I spent a lot of time walking around. I stayed at the Auberge Internationale on Ste-Ursule, so I was more or less walking distance from everything in that part of town. I really dug the street musicians that were around when I was there.
I was also visiting a friend from last summer who lives in QC, so I spent a bunch of time sitting around campfires near Stoneham ski resort, with her and her friends. |

| I did my night drive on my HLVW course down from Stoneham. I had the exhaust brake on pretty much the whole time, and I was still nervous, because I was picking up so much speed going down the 73 back towards the base that the curves in the road were close to impossible to navigate. I did that same route a year and a half earlier, on my MLVW course, but it was worse. The MLVW doesn't have an exhaust brake, and it was winter...And I had chains on the wheels, too.
