Hrmm..... actually, you could 'trace' something onto oil board. Sort of.
It's called transfer paper. Made to use with woodburning, but it's just as easy to nab some to use on thicker drawing items.

I think they're the same. Not sure though.
I also heard something about using charcoal sticks to cover a piece of paper, and put rubber cement over the charcoal, and that would make transfer paper.... but I dunno if that works or what.....
Also, I heard something about plain carbon paper working as transfer paper. No confirmation on that one either, though.

| Don't put rubber cement over the charcoal... just put the charcoal on, and then rub it in, rubbing the excess off, using a kleenex. Voila, tracing paper.
On a subject.... This oil pastel of mine and an oil painting that I don't yet have a picture of yet are being entered for a local high school art show! Let's hope I make it...

| Well, the oil pastel didn't make it, but my teacher is going to have it displayed in the local library... I"m worried though... on my "Acceptance Card", it has the title of my oil painting crossed out, no check for either "Accepted" or "Not Accepted"... makes it seem like 1. They didn't get it or 2. They can't find it! Neither is good.... where is it?! I can't talk to my art teacher til Monday.... shucks.
