i gave it an 8 due to ballroom blitz...if that song wasnt on there it would have had a 9 but as for right now it gets an 8.....i also did this because at times it is too catchy and gets stuck my head.....but overalll that album is very good I enjoy listening to it....they pull no punches

haha....these guys are awesome. i recommend this to anyone who likes humor and different style of playing. they have this acoustic rock/punkish sound which is sweet. if your looking for serious mature music then skip these guys.

though this cd boasts the lighter side of Calibretto, it is still a great album, and the highlight song is definately CHRISTIAN HATE MAIL. anyways, i love these guys, though i actually found their "THE SECRET FILES" ep version more entertaining, and generally better musically. unfortunately, you can now only order it off of Toothandnail records(www.toothandnail.com), their former label. by the way, the new cd is also fantastic...and im not talking about ADVENTURES IN TOKYO. im talking about DEAD BY DAWN. it is kinda heavy on the organs but definately a great cd. go buy it.

This album is a classic for any Calibretto 13 fan, but it's not the band at it's best. Some songs that were orginally on this record were cut at the last minute so a few others were rushed onto the album, and it shows. There are still some great classics on here like "High 5" and "The Apple Song" and other highlights like "Creep" and their cover of "The Ballroom Blitz" (well I like it).

Yeah...for me Calibretto is a local band sorta i live around Noblesville. I first heard them on the local christian radio station, 88.1, on a Saturday night rock show and these guys rock, this cd has all their greatest songs and i want the cd very baddly and they are so much like me and my friends. And they are actually a different sounding band. They rock though, if you haven't heard them and like humor and good music together then listen to their stuff.

I've heard their style described as "dork punk" and it definitely fits them :P

They didn't break up. They just dropped the 13 from their name and regrouped on to an indie record label.

Yeah, but one of the guys left, right? That's what I understood. Besides, is their new stuff any good? I haven't heard much, but I didn't like it as much

Their old bassist Aaron left, but the new guy is still pretty good. You need to check out their latest EP, "Dead by Dawn", it's top quality stuff. But yeah, I guess this conversation shouldn't continue in a review thread

Calibretto actually IS breaking up.
Their last show will be October 31st 2004.

After the release of Dead By Dawn they accounced the break up.

Joe is working on a side project called Harley Poe. Its a very darker side to Calibretto Dead By Dawn. Joe's twisted stlye of writing is very catchy though. I have enjoy every song that I have heard from the upcoming album Harley Poe: In The Dark album. I can't wait for this one!
Although I must say personally, I think Dead By Dawn has been their best album.
