Best guitar player

What's your vote for the greatest guitar player of all time?

Randy Rhoads gets my vote.

Heya,

I prefer Joe Satriani.. and Phil Keaggy - both of them come up with some awesomely beautiful pieces. Not to mention their technical work is excellent.

Phil Keaggy. Not only for his technical ability, but for his HUGE range of styles and types of productions he does. Also an amazing Christian. Gotta love Phil.

What have you heard? Glass Harp is entirely different than his solo stuff. Try the Invention CD if you didn't like Glass Harp. The point I'm getting at is, he plays so many styles that you should find something you like. But especially try out Acoustic Sketches.. so amazing. My favorite PK CD .

Jason Becker. Please, someone listen to him so you know what I'm talking about. Download him playing Paganini's 24th caprice, or download his classical guitar piece, Air. ANYTHING!!!

Nothing against anyone who starts these threads, it's just that music is so subjective. How can there be a best anything. I mean a guitarist I might like, someone else may think he stinks. Anyways that my 2cents.

Agreed Pete,

I might come on here and say that Josh Colbert and Derick Cordoba (from Further Seems Forever) are the best.
Now they might not be the best in one area or another, but they are two of the best in hte indie-rock scene right now.
