| Henna! Anyone ever used this stuff?
We had a henna party last summer (tats).. I'm doign it again, slightly different, tonight. Just me 'n my sis righ tnow.
I free-handed a freakishly awesome cross, with flames under it, for the lower part of my arm--and then a bleeding heart on the top. I have a fishy on my ankle, and a pick w/ geometrical patterns on the bottom of my leg.
Got any tips?

| I think it's a non-permanant form of tattooing.

| Yes, it is actually a dye that stains your skin and lasts quite a while...but eventually fades.

| Unfortanutly, I have kept the logical thinking that if you live in a cave you most certianly don't have the option of spending hours on the internet. Quote: |

| Real stuff, as far as I know. I didn't know you could get it in craft stores.. lol. Sounds cool. Henna is a plant, with leaves, that after ground into a find powder can be mixed with other ingredients; making a dye. Quote:

(methinks she may not know the 'I live in a cave' tradition)
Word, I've gotten Henna done before. I did it myself with cheap stuff, and I've had the really good stuff done on me by real official Indians. That stuff will last for months. It's pretty cool. I'm not really a huge fan of the traditional Henna designs, but they're cool anyway. I'm looking for some really good Henna that I can do myself, that will actually last, so that I could do some of my own designs.

Methinks I do, but simply decided to break tradition. Quote: |

| I've never had it done by a pro; which is probably why I'm happy with whatever results I get. www.hennapage.com/henna/ has a lot of good info, without all the mythical, muslim, etc. stuff. I used the recipee on there (x the clove oil) this time, and the color I have right now is pretty good. --well, I think so.
rock on..

| I like henna. It smells so good! And it is pretty, if you know what you're doing, and I don't, so I get other people to color on me. And then you can stick rhinestones and glittery things around, oOoOooOO.
hi RacH.
peace & happy faces.

| I've looked into it before, but then I read about how some of the less reputable artists have used substances that can burn your skin....
So I guess that I'll just have to make my own and have someone else do the artwork for me. |
