| They have Henna shops down in LA...if i ever got one done, i would probably go to one of them instead of doing it myself.
Anyways, my thoughts are that if you are interested in getting a tattoo then, you should first try out the design in henna, and if you still like it after you have had it a while, then go and get a PERMANATE tattoo. Personally i like the un-temporary-ness idea of henna.

Does anyone know where you can buy henna? My bro asked our mom, and she sounded okay with it. :kshock:

| I've had some henna, but I've never had an opportunity to use it... I'm always involved in something where my appearance matters, and I can't be seen with a "tattoo", but I can't exactly reach my back, so I can't do it there, or anything like that... I really want to do one that stretches from my hand to my collarbone though... that would be awesome.

| ah yeah! i've done henna before. i got "Jesus is Lord" written on my arm in whatever language they use... henna's really nifty. it's a lot prettier and more feminine than tattooing and that stuff... not to mention temporary. it also makes a good hairdye.

Sally Beauty Supply carries henna (most the time).. and you can buy it online, you may be able to find a dealer here: http://www.hennapage.com/henna/where/index.html
Have fun!!!
welp, because of the recipe I used, and my impatience... the henna only lasted brightly for about 2 weeks.. there's still some remaning stain on my feet, but that's it. oh well.

| Is it easy to contain? Like, you want to make a certain image, how easy is it to make what you want?

| well, somebody tell me if i'm wrong, but i think it's got like a liquidy-sandy-muddy consistency. i know when i got mine it was like i had mud on my arm. i had to let that dry and then i brushed it off and when i did there was the light design. it stays light for a little while then it slowly gets darker.

| I have done it twice. The first time was at a faire thing and the second time I did it myself. I like it because it isn't permanant.
