| Parkway, I'd like to say...I really like you man.
You are honest, and it seems to me that you have your head on really straight. You are funny, too. You really should be a columnist or something. Great writing style.
Keep it up!

| Thanks!
I noticed you're from Dallas - I lived there from October 2000 to March 2002. I lived in the North Dallas area - Frankford and Marsh.

| Oh, and btw, I noticed your posts in the theology forum, with the goth thing. Don't get frustrated with those guys - their entire lives are built around arguing with people and proving their points. Unfortunately, they don't realize that life is so much more than debating endlessly. I got really stressed out by them one time, said some unkind things, and pretty much decided to leave the CGR community, but decided to just change my user name, and to go into the theology forum more infrequently. My biggest disappointment in the theology forum is the lack of respect and honor for each other, especially the more outspoken Calvinists. (if you're Calvinist, that's okay with me. )
Anyway, hang in there - just stay out of that forum for awhile.

| I haven't been online much lately, which means I haven't had much time to read your blog. The Rants-and-Raves-shaped void in my heart was becoming too great to bear, so I had to get online and catch up.
Nice work!

| Hey parkway! Are you a Star Trek fan? I was wondering, since the title for this weeks rant is a modified reference to the Original Series

| Well, I like the original series better than the other ones that have come out. But I'm not a big fan of it or anything. I did like a couple of the movies - number 2 and number 6 I believe.
That phrase was a good eye-catching phrase, and it had the basic idea of my rant.
Are you?

| Do you like all of the Star Trek adventures, or is there a certain one that you really like?
Just wondering - I've seen a couple of the next generation, and I've seen I think one of the Deep Space Nine, but that's about it.

| Actually, while I was at seminary, I made friends with a guy who was bipolar, and a Star Trek freak (i.e. uniforms, models of the enterprise, a bust of Captain Picard, a replica of a phaser, fully functioning communicators, been to several conventions, etc.) and during his periods of depression, I would stay with him and watch it. He has pretty much every episode of Star Trek ever made on VHS or DVD. Over the course of 8 months, I watch all the movies, the entire original series and most of DS9 and the Next Generation. So I got hooked. I even watched the cartoon series. So there's really not much I don't like. It's probably better to ask what I don't like than what I do like. There's a few episodes from the Next Generation, several from the original series, the first half of DS9, and most of Voyager I don't like. And I haven't watched much of Enterprise, since it comes on here Wed. nights at 7pm. But it helped my friend with his depression, and gave us something to talk about. In fact, there's a convention near his hometown later this year we'll probably be going to. Also, I'm fluent in techno-babble.

| I'm no trekkie, but I watch Star Trek occasionally. I actually didn't like most of DS9 because such a big part of it involved false religions. Enterprice I don't like just because it is so racy. I do like Voyager and Next Generation though. |

| Was that friend of yours featured in the documentary Trekkies? Because he seems like a pretty good candidate for it. I was amazed watching that documentary at how serious people got when it came to Star Trek. Of course it's the same for Star Wars I guess, but on a grander scale.
Which movie is your favorite?
