Ok if we're gonna mention good screamers, deffinatly Zao's vocalist Dan, he (in my opinion) has the best screaming voice I've ever heard, also Peter from Extol, the guy from Hopesfall, nodes of ranvier, those are deffinatly great screamers, but to be a better screamer? I have no clue, lots of practice I guess, but where do you practice that when you live with your mom and sister, and work in a book store???

I personally cannot stand the vocalists who do nothing but scream. I can dig the music a lot of times but the screaming ruins it for me. I can't quite understand why one would want to do this (screaming), but I guess if it floats your boat, whatever

I can only scream like death metal like because my voice is too low. If I try to scream any higher, it either sounds like I'm a rooster, or if I try to not do that it sounds like I'm choking.

Although, sometimes I can scream along with "Cross Out The Eyes" by Thursday. Awesome song.

I only listen to a few bands that are more than, say, 90% screaming (Slipnot for example.) I like bands to have the ability to play pretty guitar parts with a good melody. I also like alot of harmonies, even in hard music (Nothingface has some cool harmonies.)

Another great screamer.... the guy from Blindside.... sorry, forgot his name, but he's AWESOME.... and you cant look past Chino of the Deftones, the guy from Glassjaw, and Nate Barcalow of Finch...... unless we're just talking about Christian bands.... These guys just have so much power when they scream, its amazing....

I read this when you first posted it. I'm not sure why it took me 2 months to reply...

...why does it sound weird to scream on key? Its not uncommon for bands to have one person scream and then have another person harmonize with it. It creates tension between the rigid scream and the beautiful harmony. You can't do that unless you're on key at least with each other.

I heard Nothingface do this in a song, it was more like a scream and a harmony scream, it was pretty neat.
