| I'm making progress...I think. Well, I think I might actually be able to do portraits someday. See, I have a really hard time with people, since I came from a mechanical drawing background; I don't do very well with the lack of edges and angles. Anyway...Here's my latest venture. I was looking at it last night and comparing it to the original, thinking "That's not right...That's too wide...That's off centre...That's off..." But I don't think that I did too badly, all things considered. It's Elizabeth (our Lizzykins), by the way.

| Wow! She rocks! And what is even better is you said that you don't draw people! I've been drawing people for almost a year and I can't do anything close to that!(You have more exspirience(sp?) than I do anyways. ) |

It's like when people have to learn how to walk again. Thanks for the positive comments!

| Good work Kyle!!! Much better than most any of us could do.
Haha Elizabeth, this is probably the closest to a photo of you that the regular CGR world will ever get to see! (feels privileged to have seen a real photo too) |

| Pwactice.
Pick some part of anatomy that you have troubles with (eyes, lips, eyebrows, noses, hands, etc.), and draw them over and over til you've got it down.
Don't tackle the protrait til you've mastered the ingredients of it.
Personally, I think it's great! Both of them! And, yes, there are a few things that are off, but they're still great portraits.
Also, it helps to move on to unmarked paper. Grids usually get in the way with many things.
One last thing: Size. You're drawing a bit small to fit the details. Your shading's excellent, but if it's just a smidgen bigger, you can afford to work details and stuff without worrying about botching up the works. I used to draw tiny, and it drove my art teacher NUTS! But now that I'm drawing a bit bigger, things are scootin' smooth, yessiree!
Good job!
