| Baseball Season!!! Ahhhh, spring (training) is in the air. I love this time of year... when my Mom starts complaining that the season just ended. When SportsCenter starts devoting 10 minutes to the national pastime. When... Okay, so there's snow on the ground, but still, I'm pumped for baseball! |

| Yeah, I still love the NCAA Basketball season. Actually, March 9 I am leaving for Florida and spending 5 days down there to go to Spring Training. We're seeing 9 teams - 7 games. After we get back, I'll get pictures up. Should be fun.

| LOL, Mark, I know I need therepy. I just LOVE having lots of sports to consume. As for the no energy or whatever... yeah it does. A game at third base wears me out almost as much as a game of basketball. That's just third base, though. Actually, Center Field is always an active position for me, too.
I love baseball, but I LOVE basketball. It's just exciting for me... my team just came off a World Series season, and has a good shot at another |

| Well, with Felipe Alou as his replacement, I'm not too worried. Felipe is a great manager. I was shocked that he didn't already have a job. |

| ::feels out of place, being a Braves fan and all::
Baseball is the only sport that brings me joy. Let it come! LET IT COME!
On a side-note, can someone tell me what the Braves are doing? They went and got a lot of good pitchers, but they got rid of Millwood for Todd Hundley I think. Yeah, we need a catcher (and a first baseman, but that's beside the point) but we _don't_ need an old one. Javy is bad, but Blanco is a quality catcher. He can't hit for beans, but he's got an awesome arm and is a good defensive catcher. Javy is neither. Millwood was (IMO) their best pitcher of the staff.
They also let a lot of their bullpen go... >_< The Braves have consistently made the most stupid decisions but continued to produce good seasons. I think they are just a major league farm team. Nearly every time they trade or let someone go, the next season they begin to come into their own. ::coughcoughRyanKleskocoughcough::
Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I know I'm not happy with the Braves right now.
At least they kept Maddux, but Glavine was the guy they should've held on to between the two of them.

My team will be in the cellar again....
But with new management and everything, i think the Tigers might (finally) be on the rise again... |

Actually, I am going to see the Braves twice in March down in spring training. Gotta make sure I root against them.

GO TRIBE!!!! | its the family team, my friend. Detroit is about two hours from my hometown compared to about three and a half for cleveland. Quote: Originally posted by stinkins What makes you think the Tigers are going to be on the rise again?? Please give me some reasons...PLEASE!! | New management that will emphasize the TEAM aspect of baseball as opposed to a bunch of individuals. Thats the main reason. Trammell was on the '84 world series team and knows that it takes more than talent to be successful. He will get some sort of chemistry going in the clubhouse and it *should* transfer over onto the field. The Tigers will not be good this year. I will be the first to tell you that. I project improvement starting next year.... and maybe a winning season before 2006 (boy can i hope!). |

| Dreaming is okay... but that's just dilusional Anyhow, the Giants will repeat as NL Champs, so you shouldn't bother worrying about the Pirates |

| The Giants can't repeat as NL champs...they have nobody protecting Barry Bonds anymore...he will once again set the record for walks and intentional walks and who is there to drive him in??
It is going to be the Braves and the Twins in a rematch...
