anyone played this game... its awsome... if anyone wants to know what it is i can probably find you some more info... it was the 1995 (i think that was the year) game of the year in germany...

Yeah, I've played the game a lot, and it's the last really good board game I've come across.

It's a great game, but better if you add Cities and Knight's or Seafarers.

I've always wanted to try this game (I've read a lot of good reviews for it) but I've never actually played it. I do have one question, though:

Is it sort of like a more complex version of "Pit" or is it more of a strategy (military or otherwise) type-game?

Oh, and it's "german"...

I play the game all the time here at College, my former RC had the expansion, Cities and Knights and Seafarers, It was soooo Cool! We would have like 6 people playing and it was like super challenging (I usually lose )

There's a Christian version of this game that is distributed by Cactus Game Design called Settlers of Canaan.

Has anyone ever played Carcassone? It's another great German game, like Settlers.

Honestly. I played it for two hours and ended up hopelessly addicted.

I love this game, I would be happy with just settlers, risk, and Axis & Allies for the rest of my life. I have introduced dozens of people to this game, and every single one thought that it was the funnest game they have ever played.

Great game, though its much more fun to do in real life than on the net.
