This CD is just great pure rock. Some of the tracks are laced with piano, and that just enhances it more. My favorite tracks are "I can", "Gasoline", "My beautiful Robe", and "paint". As much as I like this skillet, I must say the skillet from the alien youth and invincible CD is much more my kind of shindig...

A side note- John's bass lines are actually pretty good on this CD, less root whacking and stuff like the later CD's...

I really love this CD. Its very unique while still sounding completely accessible. This isn't the Christian version of X. This was a solid and good album and its a blatantly Christian. I'm particularly fond of the guitar work on this CD. Its not like he's doing incredibly tricky or technical things. He just chooses the write notes and does interesting things. I like that. The genre doesn't have a lot of things like that. After this CD obviously they went in a different direction. Bad Skillet

Collide is supposed to be more Rock, I pick up Grunge vibes listening to clips.. especially Energy and Fingernails

This cd is awesome. The first time I listened to it I was hooked. John has such a unique voice.
