Smile Accents - The Short Version

So you're like me and you're too lazy to scroll through the long list that Emma (everybody say "Thanks, Emma" ) so lovingly typed up for us? Well, here's the short version of the accents needed to write French.

Alt + 0192= À
Alt + 0199= Ç
Alt + 0200= È
Alt + 0201= É
Alt + 0202= Ê
Alt + 0203= Ë
Alt + 0206= Î
Alt + 0207= Ï

Alt + 0224= à
Alt + 0231= ç
Alt + 0232= è
Alt + 0233= é
Alt + 0234= ê
Alt + 0235= ë
Alt + 0238= î
Alt + 0239= ï

Now, ordinarily in French, you don't use accents with capital letters, but if you want to, there they are. Amusez-vouz bien!

I wouldn't close my old one, but this is more convieniant... just let mine die normally... (which is why i'm posting in this one. ) Good thinking though. Although, if I have some shorter shortcuts on my list than your four digit ones, you might want to think of adding those...

Will do. I just use those ones because I've memorised them.

Okay. Here are some shorter codes for accents (from Emma's list - everybody say, 'Thanks, Emma' again):

Alt + 130= é
Alt + 133= à
Alt + 135= ç
Alt + 136= ê
Alt + 137= ë
Alt + 138= è
Alt + 139= ï
Alt + 140= î

Thanks, Emma
