| No Good Movies this month! Is it just me, or are all the new 'popular' box office releases a bunch of crud? Example: a guy thing. six weeks notice. what happened to good films? I'm greatly anticipating the next Matrix movie.

| Better get used to it. You can expect a drought until this fall. All that is going to be coming out in the meantime are sequels and comic book films.......
And even when the fall gets here, there won't be that many good movies. "Kill Bill", "Intolerable Cruelty", and "Cold Mountain" are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. 2003 is going to be a bad film year. |

| I think all films in general are going downhill. I cringe when I hear other people at school giving praise to some of the stupidest movies EVER.

| I think you are overlooking a great film right off the back. Kangaroo Jack, people! This is such an awesome movie. It has a kangaroo and some awesome plot lines. Objectively speaking, of course. |

| I was planning to see Chicago today, but other things came up... namely, winning large quantities of stuffed animals and eating Chinese food. |

| I never go to the theater. I wait until the tapes are out in stores and then rent. There hasn't been anything really good for awhile, besides a few exceptions. Our blockbuster store is filled with treasures such as "GIANT KILLER BOAS" and "The Swarm: Killer Bees from Hell" or stuff with titles like that. The funny thing is all these are new, with crappy graphics and B actors. But there seems to be a truckload of them.
Our blockbuster sucks anyway, their scifi section is the end display of an row (you know, that bit on the end where they put tapes). They'll have 2 or three tapes of a series, but never the complete thing, and always the new ones. For example, they have Tremors 3: Back to Perfection, but they don't have Tremors 1 or 2. They have 2001, but no 2010. They have Die Hard, Die Hard With a Vengance, but no Die Hard 2. They have Highlander, and then Endgame and whatever the newest one is, but no 2, and so on.
Sigh |

Highlander 2 doesn't make any sense at all. It should make more sense to you since you havent' seen it. Part 3 ignores part 2 and the television series and it changes the rules from part 1 and it isn't very good, kind of like my sentence structure. Endgame forgets all the other movies and changes the rules of the series and looks more like a TV show than a movie. |

| This is my reason for going and renting (yes! I can finally rent!) all the great films that I haven't seen yet.
I am looking expectantly to the release of Prozac Nation in March (March or May...an "M" month...hoping it's sooner and not later), though.

| I just wanted to say is this movie drought brutal or what? Who else is dying for a good movie to come out? It's been weeks since I've been to the theater to see a good art movie. Discussion in this forum has severly suffered as well due to the lack of new films. Unfortunately, the drought isn't going to end anytime soon. Fall can't arrive soon enough. |
