True - those first turns take longer, but then ya get into the swing of things and they go faster.
Baseballboy - It is a board game (although there have been computer versions). Here's the box:
It's a re-enactment of World War II, where the "Axis" is Germany & Japan, and the "Allies" are the Soviet Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The game starts in the year 1942, the peak of the Axis’ strength. Germany is in Eastern Europe also in control of North Africa. Japan has taken over most of the islands in the Pacific. Russia is in poor condition with a war-torn economy. The United Kingdom’s army is a wreck, and usually after the first turn or so is the Royal Navy. The United States is just entering involvement and has not gotten much deployed, military-wise.
But like I mentioned above, the allies seem to ALWAYS get their game on, especially when the U.S. just starts cranking out military all over the place.
