Has anyone actually finished a whole entire game?

Yeah, I used to play it at a friend's house and it was an all-day effort. We ordered pizza.... twice.

By the way, since it very closely depicts the real balance of power in WWII, the Allies will win this game 9 times out of 10.

It is VERY tough to win as the Axis. If you find a dependable way to do it, let me know! Not that I want the Nazis to win or anything....

I've never played that game before. What is it? Is it fun? How do you play?

My brother and his friends each got one turn and it took'em 3-5 hours.

True - those first turns take longer, but then ya get into the swing of things and they go faster.

Baseballboy - It is a board game (although there have been computer versions). Here's the box:


It's a re-enactment of World War II, where the "Axis" is Germany & Japan, and the "Allies" are the Soviet Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

The game starts in the year 1942, the peak of the Axis’ strength. Germany is in Eastern Europe also in control of North Africa. Japan has taken over most of the islands in the Pacific. Russia is in poor condition with a war-torn economy. The United Kingdom’s army is a wreck, and usually after the first turn or so is the Royal Navy. The United States is just entering involvement and has not gotten much deployed, military-wise.

But like I mentioned above, the allies seem to ALWAYS get their game on, especially when the U.S. just starts cranking out military all over the place.

I've only seen it once.
My old church has it. I bet the computer version goes alot faster.

I think the game is a cool concept, and it's cool as a social event, but as a game itself, it pretty much stinks. I've played once or twice, and both times it was a good hour between each of my turns. If you like the game, good for you...I, for one, don't.
