[Zooropa]

Who's a fan of this crazy David Lynch film? I got around to watching it the other night, and it was one of the best film experiences I've had in months. The first hour is incredibly suspenseful, and David Lynch achieves directing quality without fancy camera work. I also noticed that it seemed a bit Pulp Fiction-ish at times, and I think Tarantino must have been at least a bit influenced by "Blue Velvet." **** out of ****, masterpiece, classic, etc. In other words, if you're of age see it!

Previously I believe you said that you weren't really a Lynch fan. Which of his films had you seen before this?

I rented this one time and just didn't get around to watching it. I really need to though. I'll feel incomplete until I have. Dennis Hopper is awsome when not in movies called "Super Mario Brothers" or "Space Truckers."

I was just kidding around with VictoryRose. You have to admit that Lynch is a bit out there.

I wouldn't say that he's a bit weird, I would say that he's extremely weird. I'm still wondering what other movies by him you'd seen.

Before "Blue Velvet", I'd only seen "Mullholland Dr." However, it's style and feel irritated me so much, that I turned it off after 15 minutes. I guess I should give it another chance.
